Phantom Draft
Hey guy's this is my phantom draft. I follow it pretty closely this is my top 10. The top 5 may change order but they should all be the top 5.
1- Davies-uniake
2-rayner
3-Dow
4- brayshaw
5- stephenson
6-cerra
7- coffield
8-fogarty
9-clarke
10- bonar
We have been linked to to coffield,Bonar Fogarty and clarke. Most likely Fogarty and Coffield. Richo watched coffield's last few games we a news certainty to get him. Coffield is 190cm midfield with a elite speed. He is pretty much a quicker. Version of lenny hayes. Has a great side step and elite footy skills.
Fogarty 192cm inside mid is ranked by may as the best kick in the draft including dal santo who workwd with him. Great mark. Plays alot like fyfe but can actually kick the ball haha

Re: Phantom Draft
So narrowing the list of potentials down... it’s likely two of Coffield, Fogarty, Higgins, Bonair, and Clarke with Brayshaw, Stephenson and Cerra expected to be gone
Sounds about right
I enjoyed your take on Coffield and Fogarty too.
Nice POV BME, time for a new IMO though

Re: Phantom Draft
Knightmare from BF’s take on your boys:
Brownlow Medallist
6. Darcy Fogarty (SA)
Best position: Utility
Height, weight: 192cm, 88kg
Recruited from: Glenelg
Projected draft range: First round
Similar to: Jake Stringer
September Ranking: 6
Rationale: While 2018 was a letdown due to meniscus tear which resulted in below expectation form, Fogarty based on 2016 play and attributes shown deserves benefit of the doubt.
Strengths:
Strength
Contested ball winning
Clearance winner
Contested marking
Body-on-body strength
Fend offs
Stands up through tackles
Courage
Competitiveness
Versatility to play anywhere other than ruck
Scoreboard impact
Clean ball user by hand and foot
Vision
Decision making
High leaper
Evasion
Agility
Weaknesses:
Endurance
Unclear best position
Inconsistent 2017 performances and production
Poor Under-18 Championships
11. Nicholas Coffield (VIC)
Best position: General defence/inside midfield
Height, weight: 190cm, 83kg
Recruited from: Northern Knights
Projected draft range: First round
Similar to: James Kelly
September Ranking: 14
Rationale: One of the few players this year with genuine class and composure with ball in hand. At his height and with his mix of attributes has the scope to develop into a midfielder with time. Performance against Oakleigh in final through the midfield adds optimism of midfield prospects.
Strengths:
Evasiveness
Sidestepping and composure in traffic
Sound decision maker in traffic
Classy ball user and clean kick over a variety of distances
Agility
Takes on players with his run
Clean at ground level
Clean, quick hands in close
Intercept marking
Reading of the ball in flight
Scope to develop into midfielder
Weaknesses:
Unclear contested ball winning capabilities
Inconsistent production from game to game
Tackling
Tackle pressure
Have to say I’m less sold on Fogarty

Re: Phantom Draft
Fingers crossed someone before us goes tall. Would love Cerra & Fogarty, this give us elite foot skill.
This doesnt give us leg speed. However efficent & effective ball movement always beats leg speed.
Something also has me concern about stephenson & coffield. Habe not seen them play & dont know why.

Re: Phantom Draft
As much as I want him, I get the distinct impression that Cerra is not on our radar at all.

Re: Phantom Draft
Well the have both played mid and both tipped to become midfielders. Just like bont was a half forward and so was fyfe and mcgrath last year was a defender but they said he will be playing mid next YearSt Ick wrote:Unfortunately, Fogs is a forwars and Coff is a defender.big_mac_evoy5 wrote:Hey guy's this is my phantom draft. Re: Phantom Draft
without seeing any medical reports
we are looking at fogarty based on 2016 performances while ignoring a meniscus tear which can be problematic
and over look Bonar because of acl concerns, but a stellar 2017
