Noyle Mitchell - Cloke vs. Plugger
Noyle (as his callers call him) thinks Trav was better to watch than Plugger, as he was more versatile.

For Pies/Bulldogs supporters he would have been. They would have had nightmares after watching Plugger playing against them!saintspremiers wrote:Noyle (as his callers call him) thinks Trav was better to watch than Plugger

L o c k e t t was a phenomena! enough said
Lockett was a consistantly sweet kick @ goal year in year out.
I remember actually enjoying watching Lockett being put onto the most difficult angles hard up against the boundary line and feeling he was about to demonstrate once again why he was the best goal kicker of his day & of any era.
1300+ goals was his career tally.
I count myself fortunate to have witnessed the phenomenal Tony Lockett regularly kick huge bags of goals, 5s, 6s, 7s & then the double figures on top of that. As a young dynamo he also bagged the brownlow.
Every time I turned up to see St.Kilda play you could feel the swelling in the hearts of the Saints faithfull.
I could never forget Lockett.
Noyle ? Sounds like he has to find a few better stories with a bit more grain of truth to them.

Re: Noyle Mitchell - Cloke vs. Plugger
Even on a bad day Plugger kicked more than Cloke. I don't know how much footy he watches but you could only be mesmerised by the big fella's strength, marking and goal kicking skills. As a football supporter for over fifty years i will give credit where its due but i can't honestly recall Clokey capturing my attention week in week out except for the number of inept perfomances which far outweighed the match winning ones.

Re: Noyle Mitchell - Cloke vs. Plugger
Maybe Neil loved the uncertainty of Cloke missing from 25m directly in front, or those 55m set shots that went post high out of the full or scraped through for a point.

Re: Noyle Mitchell - Cloke vs. Plugger
He obviously never watched Plugger, especially at his best. As a faux Melbourne supporter, he probably spent his winters at the snow or at his handsome pile down at Flinders. He certainly didn't spend them watching the great man.
"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Re: Noyle Mitchell - Cloke vs. Plugger
Lol what? Not one person would agree with him. A very stupid comment . So stupid he should be stripped of any rights to publicly comment in anything ever again. What a freak

Doesn’t seem like Neil Mitchell saw Plugger play live very often.

f****** tosser
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Noyle Mitchell - Cloke vs. Plugger
Plugger in his prime drew fans to games like a magnet, packing the stands and terraces.
Cloke = Never.
Plugger won game after game with his sheer tonnage, his 10 metre sprint, vice-like marking, and sweet kicking.
Cloke = Never.
Plugger put the fear into opponents, and sent fans into ecstasy.
Cloke = Never.
I remember saying stuff like this - "Mate, see you at Moorabbin, Sat'dee. Plugger's back in against the Doggies and he's gunna kick eight!"
Cloke = Never

Re: Noyle Mitchell - Cloke vs. Plugger
Cloke was by far the funnier to watch
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!
