Delisted by Hawthorn and would be a very nice pickup.
Played some very good games this year.

Is he a decent kick? What's his major downside that saw him cut so quickly, given that he was a fairly highly-touted second rounder in 2013?

He must be pretty bad to be dumped by Hawthorn. Their under 25 stocks are very poor.

Anyone else think something else is going on here, easily in the hawks 22 and and is only 22, why has been delisted? But yet they need to keep good youth so they offered Jono O'rouke a contract!! something is not right here.

If my memory serves me correct (and it usually does) plenty on this site were screaming to draft Hartung when the Hawks took him. Played 188 games this season, averaged 22 possessions but does have an issue with kicking. Still, he is a lightning-quick outside mid - which is what plenty on his site are still screaming for.

Cant defend and his best stat is clangers. He cant even ski downhill. Would rather move Savage to the wing instead.

Pounce!! Its a gift. He is a speed machine. We need speed. 150-200k. Cheap Insurance for freeman. Essendon will probably get him or carlton. Then he will become flag player.

Don't think we will be bringing anyone else in, but would prefer Hartung over Lonie, Minchington and perhaps Wright.

Brings speed.

Agree its weird

The thing about getting value is seeing value when others dont.
Hawks kot wanting anything makes us think hes not worth it but as you say somwthing not right cause he has eite traits.
Get him cheap. We need all the value we can get

Hartung is a front runner- looks good in a good team, and with Hawthorn not having the best season, he didn't really put his hand up.

Not a bad player...certainly has the athletic capacity.
Tackling is weak though.
Still prefer him to Lonie on the list
