I think clubs would be more interested in Holmes, actually. Pierce has not developed at all in the five years he's been at the club. Once Marshall showed he could play a bit, it was always going to be curtains for Holmes and Pierce.

I don’t understand why we are bothering to redraft Pierce - surely it’s better off drafting a new rookie who has some chance of being a player?? We really hate delisting players it seems.

Pierce is contracted so we have to pay him anyway. What's the chance of him as a ruckman coming good after a few years in the system as opposed to about the 90th best 18 year old?

Pierece is contracted for 1 more season I think. I guess they're just keeping him because of that and as added backup for Billy, Hickster and Marshall.

These non Irish imports are always pushing s*** up a hill to make it to the top. Its even very hard for the Irish lads.

Its even very hard for a local kid from the suburbs that has played footy since Auskick to make it to AFL level so its a strong tribute to Holmes he eneded up playing a few games.
