It's for queer. The full acronym is LGBTIQA+. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex (Indeterminate), Queer, Asexual/Androgynous. The plus sign caters for other categories too numerous to mention. There are variations, depending on who you're talking to.
I always thought that the Q was for Questioning (in which case that would include me for asking wouldn't it?).

And I don't understand the difference between Gay and Queer and if Lesbians and Queers are both Gay then why three letters?

And if you already have 7 letters the plus is a bit of a giggle too. I bet a lot of the folks who are in this human subset could claim more than one category.

I must admit I always have a quiet internal chuckle when I see a new letter configuration.

As an aside, there is no way Hannah Mouncey is going through her ordeal for any advantage in sport. She is just a woman who wants to play women's sport. I have a lot of sympathy for her.

The AFL on the other hand cannot win.

This is just getting ridiculous. Nothing against any of the people that identify with this acronym either.

Now every workplace in Australia will now to have to update their training packages for this new acronym and what is associated with it. :D xc

I might start my own club up. It will be called the White Caucasian Australian Male Heterosexual Group = WCAMHG. It sounds pretty good. Who is in? Bet that would go down well in this PC mad world!
It shouldn't have to come down to all this. I don't buy into this PC stuff, either. For me, PC is mainly Clinton-era white guilt and token diplomacy. I just think it's sad when people are discriminated against for their ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender etc. At the end of the day we're all human. Life is hard enough without any of that crap. It'd be great if we had a world where we could look past all of that and learn to get along. With the current state of the world, it would appear it needs a little more love. I realise it's more complicated than this, but I think people could make a difference in just making a little effort in learning to accept those who are different. I know a couple of transgender people and they really don't go through with it for any sort of advantage. From what I gather, they experience an internal trauma with having to come to terms with not feeling comfortable about the gender they were born with. Then the whole transformation of gender just sounds like nothing but hell for them. There's no way in my mind Hannah Mouncey tried to qualify for the AFLW draft to get an edge over women. That just seems completely absurd. For what I gather, Hannah Mouncey is just a person who loves footy and wanted to try their hand at playing at the highest level.
So why shouldn't she play with men?

There is an acronym that is LGBTIQQ+ that accommodates both queer and questioning, but as I now understand it the terms are used interchangeably. Just shows the absurdity of it all.

You're not Robinson Crusoe there, ps. Not even the Monty Python crew could come up with something equally bizarre! :D

Being someone who is centre left this whole LGBTIQ blah blah is just to please the far left idiots nothing more nothing less.
I’m all for equality and happiness but putting a Q for queer when I’m pretty sure someone who is gay is queer...well that’s where it ends for me.

B is for bi-sexual.
But in the spirit of inclusiveness, where does that leave our Beastiality friends?

Link didn't work but see below.

"In male gay culture, a bear is often a larger, hairier man who is the pinnacle of rugged masculinity. Bears are one of many LGBT communities with events, codes, and a culture-specific identity. However, in San Francisco in the 70s any hairy man of whatever shape was referred to as a 'bear' until the term was appropriated by larger men and other words had to be found to describe hairy other-shaped men such as otter (slim) or wolf [1](medium-build)."
