Crippa returning to Saints
Whisper is Crippa may be returning to the Saints in a FT role. He would be a fantastic replacement for Bains.

Re: Crippa returning to Saints
I heard this the other day also.
But it was in the form of a tweet from Chicken "toot toot" Nixon and I was really, really loathe to give it a second thought.
Also said at the same time that the Lendog was coming back and that Joey would be in some football operations position.
Toot toot.

Who is Crippa?
Jamie or Jason?
Funny how parkey gets so many 'whispers'. Usually wrong.

Re: Crippa returning to Saints
The thing that bedevils itks is that the AFL runs on rumours. At any one time, there are dozens, mainly around trade time and the draft. Problem is, most of the information is made up, unsupported by anything but the original source and is often deliberate misinformation from the source. TPS (That prick Sheedy) was renowned for it. Dildoro was surely his apprentice. Sheedy loved telling porkies and the subsequent frenzies he caused. He spread plenty of lies about who was interested in Andrew Lovett, which helped push us into a decision on him. Along with providing us with a glowing personal reference for a known wife beater, drunk and notoriously poor trainer and clubman, I believe TPS ranked that one amongst his favourite japes on a rival club.Con Gorozidis wrote:Who is Crippa?

For people like Jaxsons, much is supplied that doesn't come to fruition, causing the impression that he hasn't been told or heard something interesting. In this trade period, in particular, it would appear there was very little activity from the saints, therefore less to report than usual. This paucity of information caused frustration in many of us, me included, as we'd become used to more. There is only one thing that moves faster than the speed of light in the universe and that's a rumour in the AFL.

Port Adelaide Power list manager Jason Cripps could be target of St Kilda

PORT Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps’ strong work in the AFL trade period has put the former St Kilda defender in the frame for a return to the Saints in a major administrative role.
As the merry-go-round with AFL club chief executives takes St Kilda chief operating officer Ameet Bains to the Western Bulldogs as its new chief executive, Cripps has gained endorsement to join the Saints’ administration in a key vacancy.
Esteemed football commentator Mike Sheahan is nominating the Melbourne-based Cripps to join St Kilda chief executive Matt Finnis in the Saints’ front office noting Cripps’ sound work in building Port Adelaide’s list for coach Ken Hinkley.
“I do like it when guys go back to their original clubs after honing their skills elsewhere,” Sheahan said on Melbourne radio SEN on Monday.
Cripps, 41, played 60 AFL games for St Kilda from 1996-2002. After finishing his playing career in Tasmania, Cripps returned to St Kilda to be part of Grant Thomas’ football staff with roles in player development and as an assistant coach.
Cripps joined Port Adelaide as an assistant coach to Mark Williams in 2007. He has been the Power’s list manager at the end of 2011, achieving major success in re-contracting key players in the club’s darkest hours in 2012 and signing major talent in the past four years.
Sheahan also backed Adelaide’s move on contracted Carlton midfielder Bryce Gibbs, endorsing the Crows’ decision to pay up two first-round draft picks to claim the 28-year-old South Australian.
“At times, teams need stability and experience,” Sheahan said of the 231-game midfielder who has signed a four-year deal with Adelaide.
“Gibbs is a very good player — and under-rated in the competition. He will play five years the way he looks after himself.”

Whisper is Gill McLaughlin is putting through Ameet Bains and Matt Finnis through university so they can get a Masters in Accounting. Then you will be able to legitimately call them professional accountants and bean counters in this joint.

Ammet Bains was the COO, handled list management & legal affairs at the club as well.
He leaves a big hole, if we get a football person like Crippa in to handle the list management etc we would need a 2nd person to cover the other areas .

It would be nice to Hammies Crippa back at the Saints. A very good replacement for Bains.
Is he behind the recruitment of all these flakey rejects and older players at Port Adelaide though? Or is that coming from Koch or Hinkley?
