Fact is, our recruiting from 2003-2010, before he came in, was horrid. You cant fix that overnight
And apparently, the bulldogs looked around for someone who was bog average in their lower role to become their CEO
They loved the way Baines was bad at his job at the saints and could not go past him as the leader of their club
I think we can safely say that the Bulldogs undoubtedly thorough search and detailed vetting process to find a CEO was no match for Con's ability to make an assessment that Bains is no good.
No idea why the Bulldogs did not just go directly to ask Con.. would have saved themselves a great deal of pain that is inevitably coming their way
