You've already hounded off jaxons, the thread is redundant…saynta wrote: Yeah, take this thread more offline, why don't you.
It's pretty ironic that you are siding with the people lamenting the state of this site…

I have reported your posts for trying to stir up trouble. So keep it up. I don't think the mods tolerate bullying.dragit wrote:You've already hounded off jaxons, the thread is redundant…saynta wrote: Yeah, take this thread more offline, why don't you.

Sorry my friend, I'd hate to overtly target someone and torment them into leaving.

No probs, was just curious who you were talking about… as there are a few nuffies hounding off the few ITK's we have.skeptic wrote:dragit wrote:You've already hounded off jaxons, the thread is redundant…saynta wrote: Yeah, take this thread more offline, why don't you.

Be good to here from Jaxons about the trade period and what happened.
Seems to me we were the victim of Gold Coast blinking in the Weller trade.
With a bit more luck we could have got pick 2

In all seriousness the nature of criticism in his forum from some is quite staggering.
Have said it before and will say it again we are all Saints people and should be united as one.

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)
As one of the many Saints supporters who desperately love our club, I really appreciate Jaxons keeping us up to date with what he or she knows at the time of posting. It gives us a great indication of what those who actually do things within our club are attempting to achieve. Thanks a million for keeping us up to date during what was a very fluid trade period. We'd missed out on the "big fish" well before the trade period, but it was still a fun ride to see whether we could pull off a major coup.jaxons wrote:I was accused of not being an ITK, now I am accused of being Ameet, if i was then surely I was an ITK.

So we're now stuck with picks 7 and 8 for starters. Not too bad a start.

there are some who try to pump up their own tyres by deflating others. we can all have different opinions and don't need to see everything the club does as correct or good, however respect must be shown to all regardless whether they agree or disagree

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)
Please can an ITK explain.
Why we spent around 964 draft points to buy pick 34 worth draft 542 points.
That's like giving up pick 18/19 in 2018 for pick 34 in 2017
Draft pick points valued after 2017 trade period
2018 draft picks based on clubs finishing the same in 2018 and compensation picks the same.
We got 2017 pick 34 = 542 points
2018 pick 73 = 9 points
They got 2018 pick 27 = 703 points
2017 pick 59 = 158 points
2017 pick 63= 112 points
Last year within 24 hours of the end of 2017 trade period, I asked why Hawthorn was allowed to trade away both Hawthorn's 2017 1st round and Hawthorn's 2017 2nd round picks.
No ITKs answered until over a week later the AFL admits they stuffed up.
This year early in the trade period I asked why Melbourne was allowed to trade away both Melbourne's 2018 1st round and Melbourne's 2018 4th round pick in the same deal.
No ITKs answered.
If I don't get explanations this time, I can only conclude no-one is ITK.

Can't we explicitly make some threads 'positive conversation' threads, and just weed out the wreckers on those ones?
From today's news (and Jaxons' earlier comments) I'm assuming we've lost Ameet and Jaxons simultaneously.
I am really REALLY sad about both, or either.
Thank you for your efforts, guy(s)(?) -- your work has been greatly appreciated.
I'm still hoping Jaxons might reappear post-Bains.
If not, thank you to all the egomaniacs who have driven Jaxons away with their rudeness and and disrespect for fellow Sainters.

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)
Stop obsessing about points. We don't know exactly what the 2018 pick will be. Ameet traded us back into pick 34, which is very late second round. Ideally yes it would been a pick in the mid to high 20's not 34 but it should deliver a similar standard playerace wrote:Please can an ITK explain.

Im pretty sure its a cunning plan - always use next years second - that way we never miss and gained an extra pick - the first one - jack Steelesaintspremiers wrote:Stop obsessing about points. Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)
Trading for the Hawks 2017 first round pick -- it was clearly done to top up with a Josh Kelly type and that failed.
So that leaves us a year behind with the development of a first-round player (pick 10).
Still a win overall but it takes a bit of the gloss off.

2017 draft
Pick 7
Pick 8
Pick 34
Pick 40 - Logan Austin (ready to step up)
Pick 45 - I dont think we will use this pick but we can.
We also couldnt have used pick 59 and 63. We only have 2 list positions to fill but seeings we acquired 34 it looks like Holmes, our only uncontracted player, is a goner. 34 is better than 45. Nearly 200 points better.
Dempster Montagna and Riewoldt retired makes 38 players on the players list.
Logan in makes it 39
Holmes delisted makes it 38
Picks 7, 8 and 34 make 41
We can take 2 more rookies to add to our 4. The eligibility rules for rookies is changing too so all these category A guys can play from round 1.
This would be a good move cause they are cheap and disposable. Lonie might end up being one (now that he knows he has no better options) and we might use 45 in 2017 too.
So in 2018 we could have 41 players on the primary list and 6 rookies. 47 in total.
Is it so hard to see? This was all explained earlier.
As for the trading future picks fiasco. I think it was mentioned after the 1st time you bought this up that after the AFL got busted (by you, well done) with assisting Hawthorn to properly compensate the AFL Suns they changed the rules an made it a free for all this year.
There are no ITK'S. Thete are only those who act and those who react. Some people hear things and repeat them. Some people just dont listen and others say things over and over without a clue or care as to what anyone else does, says or thinks..

Jordan McMahon kicks the goal after the siren in 2009 he cost Richmond picks 1 and 2.
Melbourne took Scully and Trengrove.
Richmond was left with Dustin Martin....
How did that end up again?
Let’s not stress over 4.765496 activation points, especially when we gained a zillion the last 4 years
