Are you for real? My Job?? Im on my break at my JOB - where i get paid to work.
I come here because its been a habit for years.
Do you have any experience Moding this place?
You cant possibly imagine how long it takes to read every single darn thing on this place - where you dont get to contribute - bar being the "that person who made that decision" and 'fix it edit it move it remove it' then follow up the poster and the reporter and communicate with the other mods.

Dont throw any of this crap on me - Im here because i enjoy this place.

Im not responsible for what others post or how they behave.
This will be fixed up - when we have time.. a lot of time. Not 12.30pm on a work day.

You know what would help that, if everyone contributed to the forum and followed the rules. They are not overly difficult.

DDb has officially had enough.
Well played!
Yep, if a certain poster didn't realise he was a tool, he should now.

Update - I have created a thread in the admin forum - I will be moving posts there that i think meet the standards of being moved.

However this will take me time - there is 48 pages here... plus the rest of the forum and again its a work day.

You really will need to bare with me - and trust that i have solid intentions of getting this done.

I realise its really frustrating for those who have made reports and tried to keep on track.

I will NOT be pming the poster to notify their post was moved.
If reviewed and deemed appropriate it may be moved back - im confirming this is a option. if its not sincere apologies - I did the best i could.
Right now im looking at this is a admin operation - tidy it up and try get some kind of control back.

Happy Thursday.

Am I a 'usual suspect'?

First of all, I have always supported Jaxons 100%.

Secondly saying Bains is not a 'guru' or a 'master' is NOT criticism. I just think he is a run of the mill competent person doing the job expected of him. Nothing more. Nothing less. That is not criticism. He is not a 'guru' or a 'master' or a 'genius'.

Sorry we have real jobs and don't have time to move the myriad of posts that are in wrong threads. We only move abusive posts or conversations that breach rules. That is our job. These posts don't breach rules despite being boring. We don't move boring or irrelevant posts. Sorry.
No they don't breach the rules, but the amount of insults directed at these"" boring"" posters is staggering. Evidently calling them morons or idiots is okay..

Why would we move down in the draft?

I never said we would. Though that is the current theory of what's going on. Richmond to try and get 7 or 8 off us.

I thought it was Austin Logan

Port Adelaide trade Logan Austin and 2018 Future Round Four pick to St Kilda for its 2018 Future Round Three pick.

Why oh why oh why did we use a FUTURE third round pick to secure Logan Ausitn when we already have a 2017 third round pick.

We have delisted 3 players (Riewoldt, Montagna & Dempster)
We have one player uncontracted in Holmes
That means we either have to pay out contracts or we limit the net number to arrivals to 4.

WE have picks 7, 8, 44, 58, 62 all with points attached.
We should be consolidating those into 4 picks.
But now we have a new arrival we have to consolidate them into 3 picks, OR break contacts with more picks OR waste tradeable draft points.
What a waste of our 2018 third rounder.

Yeah, not super happy about loosing a future round 3.

Round 4, I wouldn't care, but round 3 is overs.

Hate to admit it but Carlton are going to have a good list in the next few years.
They would be laughing with the Gibbs deal.

Trading with Gold Coast just became hard
Having consolidated 21, 26, & 37 to get a 2018 first rounder from West Coast
They now have 2, 24, 50 & 54
They traded away pick 39 for Wigg

Thanks the trading of future picks for these kind of deals - spending picks that you have not earned for a gain today makes it easier to part with so many points value for players.

Come on Saints CONSOLIDATE those late picks into one or move them into 2018.

Pick 63 = 112 points
Pick 59 = 158 points
2018 St Kilda second rounder = 703 points etimated
973 points

Pick 34 = 542 points
2018 Adelaide fourth rounder = 9 points
551 points

Correct me if I am wrong but we traded or 2018 second rounder for a 281 points roughly pick 49.
Did we employ Hawthorn to negotiate that.

10, 16 and a swap of future second round picks for Gibbs and future 3rd rounder
Based on this year's points

Adelaide gives up
pick 10 = 1395
pick 16 = 1067
2018 pick 36 = 502
pick 73 = 9

Carlton gives up
Gibbs
2018 pick 22 = 845
2018 pick 40 = 429

1395 + 1067 + 502 + 9 = Gibbs + 845 + 429
Gibbs = 1699 = midway between pick 6 & 7

Adelaide have paid a high price at pick 6/7 for a player with only a handful of years left BUT hope it will make the difference in a Grand Final

If only we had the salary cap room to make such a move when we played off in Grand Finals !
