Played his best games this year off a wing and I think that’s a position we need to address with someone who can run and has size and he definitely fits that bill guy has a serious tank and can potentially play that roo roll of the last year or 2. Big wingmen don’t grow on trees!

Yep, couldn't have said it better. They've executed our game plan perfectly.
Didn't see any evidence of Auskick game plan with Richmond's win...

So what happens now -do al the teams ramp up the pressure even more.
This runs contrary to what the AFL want of fast open football.

The GF looked pretty much our R16 thumping in reverse, pressure all round the ground, fast ball movement from clearances, harassing and tackling small forwards (only theirs were actually effective). Of course, they had a FF that could mark and kick, an incomparable Dusty, and Cotchin/Prestia/Rioli on fire...any coach would take that. Have a look at Richmond's pathetic H&A season stats for clearances and possessions heading into the finals...they looked pretty good for another straight sets exit.

fifteenth in the competition for clearances and finished half a game off top spot. So much for the theory, you have to win the clearances to win games.

"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

And somewhere down towards the bottom in possessions too, plus contested ball was pretty low if I remember. They certainly weren't keen on getting their head over the ball. Yes, clearances are great, but if you turn it over 2 handballs later what's the point? Seemed to be our downfall all season, much better at getting it, but we lacked the polish to finish off the good work...hence we chase Kelly.

Just don't take Trout to the draft.
He will waste those picks on kids with good character and good families.

Aaron Francis has requested a trade back to SA.
I reckon even David King might now concede we won the Carlisle trade.

No guarantee we would have taken Francis but brilliant nonetheless!

That has been a good trade for us.

Kudos where it's due. We're not as bad as we sometimes think we are.

Last I heard King still thinks Essendon drafted Parish with our pick. Moron.

That is a fair comment re Trout and finding players with good families and character. Plays a part but end of day we need decent footballers as the first prerequisite!!!

Trout must be under pressure. Last year performance a little underwhelming and his strike rate with rookies is pathetic at best.

Please people, us celebrating the ineptitude of the essendon recruiting team makes us seem super irrelevant as we haven't actually accomplished anything yet

With that being said,

HELLLLL YEAH, SUCK IT DODORO, THATs WHAT YOU HET FOR BEING A TURD DURING TRADE WEEK

When you trade a player in you should know what you are getting.
When you go to the draft you are buying a pig in a poke.
Some get it right and pick talent more often than others.
In life it is often most hard to admit to failings but those clubs whose recruiters don't do so well are best to admit their weakness and trade players in.

Admit it Saints you get it right ever so rarely.

Hardwick stated that they learnt alot from the thumping we gave them. Maybe our game plan based on nomadic intense pressure is right, only thing is we are inconsistent at it and lack a bit of class and polish to execute it properly. Just my thoughts.

That was what I was thinking too.

GWS must pay more than they wanted to keep Kelly.

They have many A-grade players and a TPP. What to do?

Pay money to keep A+ players and trade out A- players.

I think that is their current position.

I was also wondering if their flag window has narrowed. An interesting idea I reckon.

Not correct at all.
We have interest in Tomlinson but won’t be using pick 7 or 8 on him.
Collingwood also in to him in a big way.
We are also exploring a young backman from Port.
