Seb is fantastic at getting the ball.
Delivering it?
Nope, big fail.

Re: Seb Ross - 3rd fastest speed clocked this year
Why is Seb Ross getting bagged out?
He made the AA squad and was our best player this year. Probably is our no 1 player now too. From memory, he came in the top 10 from the AFL coaches votes also.
You will bloody notice a mistake from him because he gets the bloody damn ball so much compared to everyone else!!

Seb is a good honest trier who gets a fair bit of the ball- but he aint no game changer. I would say Carlise and Roberton were our strengths this season

Isn't it awesome how we can take an article with empirical evidence showing one of our players is one of the quickest in the comp and turn it into a negative thread.

TBH though, there are some positive people on here. I honestly try to promote a positive mindset with my posts.

At least when MickThomas was Wellard Saint......... there were the occasional humorous posts amongst his negativity. So it might be time to move from downtown Doncaster back to even downer town Wellard to see if a smidgen of humour or positivity can be found.BringBackMadDog wrote:Oh FFS you are just an antagonistic prick. Buckley wouldn't tag Tom Mitchell because, despite huge numbers, "he doesn't hurt you".
Ignore the stats and look at the actual results of his possessions.
Is it the team-mates not helping him?
Or is he just not clever enough with the disposals?
A bricklayer putting down 25% more bricks than his mates, if he is messy and inaccurate, isn't really as good as his high numbers indicate.

Re: Seb Ross - 3rd fastest speed clocked this year
Seb Ross is our best chance of developing our next elite player. I remember seeing him in the Wangarratta practice match in 2016 and thinking he would be a huge factor in our improvement. He was superb that day. Applying pressure, winning heaps of it and using it well. He even seemed to have added a yard of pace. He's a beauty and will win our B & F this year by a fair margin. He dropped off a bit in the latter rounds, but didn't they all? Another preseason, improved endurance and strength and you have our next AA. You know it makes sense!
I think you're pretty tough, don't I?

Seb is like Tom Mitchell and these guys are big accumulators. Quite happy one of our mids is getting 30+ touches most weeks. He's A grade now.
Goal kicking mid freaks with massive pace that pick up a large no of possies like Judd, Ablett and Danger are rare as. A club is lucky to get a player like that every 15-20 years.

Re: Seb Ross - 3rd fastest speed clocked this year
Just came across this:
His repeat sprint time at the NAB AFL Draft Combine of 24.66 seconds was impressive, putting
him in the top 18 per cent, along with his beep test of score of 14.8, showcasing his endurance.
So it looks like he always had some speed. Good repeat speed is handy in a mid.
