What about Sydney's kicking for goal? I can only think their technique and composure kicking for goal is so far above our efforts the comparison is embarrassing. I think I read recently Buddy has had three goal kicking teachers including Plugger . Do we have any? Do we practice and train this? It doesn't seem like it.

They got the draw because of where they finished - it wasn't gifted to them by the AFL
Have a look at some of the kids they have fast track developed in the bad years, they don't deserve the sins of the father (JHird) bad mouthing

Sorry but that is exactly my point. They cheated. Players were banned. They were always going to finish last because of that. They should not of then been allowed first pick nor an easy draw. They fast tracked their kids cos they had to play them and what did it matter they were going to finish last and get an easy draw and first round pick anyway. Its not that they were rebuilding. They cheated and were being punished. well supposedly punished.

Essendon have a history of cheating and getting away with it. In their Premiership year of 1993 they rorted the salary cap. The AFL should have stripped the Premiership from them like the NRL did to the Melbourne Storm. They new what they were doing with the illegal drug program and the Club escaped punishment. WADA could have banned the whole club for 2 years and that's what should have happened. Instead the AFL fined them, which was probably paid by Paul Little and then they collected the no.1 draft pick and a soft draw. It's an absolute disgrace, I hate them more than Collingwood. Oh renewed the good reference they gave Lovett? Yep that worked out well for us.

Agreed, HF. They've always been dodgy, and their supporters are the most arrogant in the league. A shitstain of a club. Sheedy and Hird showed their true character by lying to us about Lovett. They have always held the saints in contempt. I believe that all stems from the physical and football thrashings we gave them in the 70's. Their punishment for doping was like being mauled by a dead sheep. They should've been banned. The way the AFL handled the whole fiasco is indicative of the fact that the AFL is closer to being like the WWE, than a credible sporting organisation.
