Well I heard what they were saying in the commentary which was all about pressure and tackling which Richo is strong about. So you never know.

Richmond will go all the way to the grannie, they are on the easy side now. Sydney may just knock off Adelaide in the prelim. Sydney richmond grannie I think. Sydney have been there done that last year and think the occassion will be too much for richmond. But what do I know just my guess

Well that is going to depend on how you rate stars, but I thought that they would have four stars in Dusty, Rance, Cotchin and Riewoldt.

Prestia was star like last night, but has had an up and down season.

ALSO they have at least two elites. Based on this season we had maybe one in Carlisle.

- They also do have probably the best player in the competition. Only Danger rivals him now.

Dusty Snuffed the Saints out when we started to get back in the game, and last night against the Cats he stepped up and destroyed the Cats after which his team mates joined in. Dusty is not just a matchwinner, but a matchturner.

If we pick up Kelly I will be enormously happy, but I am not sure that he can reach the heights that Dusty is at.

- Rance is clearly an elite.



As I have posted in numerous treads now I think we have quite a good "support act", but to be a Top 4 threat we need some genuine cream.

Our best two players at present are probably Steven and Carlisle. Billings may be there next season.

Add say Kelly and Stringer to our current list and then watch out as others start to walk taller. Add say picks 7 and 8 and yes we may get possibly some cream, but by the time they are peaking Steven, 27 yrd, 5 ms may have fallen off his best.

Carlisle is 25 yrs 11 months. So his BEST year will be his next 3 or 4 years. We invested heavily in him, and to capitalise on that we need to bring in other players that are ready to play their best football in this same 3/4 year period.

Carlisle and Steven are two good reasons why we need some ready to play cream now, and not cream that will come good later.

The Tigers are getting good value from their most recent imports in Prestia, Caddy and Nankervis.

Perhaps the Tigers most important recent recruit was Balme though.

Different players who can play different roles for us.

Membrey is a genuine third tall marking target whose main strength is that he is an amazing judge of the ball in flight and who can time his jumps at that ball superbly.

Stringer despite being taller, actually plays smaller than Tim, and is basically a very quick outside running half forward. Stringer while not a mid (though as a junior he was) can also be used in quick bursts through the midield.


However I do agree that we need a Kelly way, way, WAY more than we need Stringer.
