Who will come out of Top 8 from this year in 2018
As much as we all want our mighty Saints to make the Top 8 next year, the question is who will make way?
Then there is Hawks who I think will get in and perhaps the Doggies as well.
That means for us to get it there should be 3 teams out of this years Top 8 to be pushed down the ladder.
I think Essendon will miss out next year but don't know who else.
Any thoughts.....

the tigers certainties if dusty goes.
port on the harder fixture.
essendon likewise.
so there's a spot for us and the hawks, even the bulldogs if they remember how to play - but the least likely of the three.

Agree, desertsaint. Dopers will have a much harder draw in 2018, power are imposters. Geelong could be a slider as well. Still not convinced about the snow bunnies either. Very inconsistent and don't have great depth. Plenty of opportunities for us next year.
I think you're pretty tough, don't I?

We'll be dropping out after being the first team to win the flag from 8th.

Very hard to pick. Wouldn't have expected 4 out at start of this year and if we had known that, definitely would've expected us to be one of the ins.

Don't really care who drops out, we just need to be able to beat most sides rugularly... if we trade well I can see us beating current top 8 sides in Geelong, port, Richmond, Melbourne and Essendon and most sides below us.

Port , out
Too many permutations with top line free agents and out of contract players ( Dusty, Kelly, Whitfield, Hopper etc) depending where they go can change everything
eg. Dusty leaves - Richmond out , Kelly to STK or Ess they are in
