Re: Team for Round 23 V Tigers
I am not sure of the time when our final team needs to be lodged but Essendon start at 13:10 and we at 15:20.
If Fremantle does NOT beat Essendon we are just playing a practice match.
We should know by half time if Fremantle is trying or tanking.
If so then Rice and White play.
Not tanking, just not being stupid and winning.
Losing by more than 28 points more than Bulldogs lose to Hawthorn.
OR Bulldogs beat Hawthorn pushes us down to 11
If the Dogs win we go to 11 = pick 8.
Hawthorn finish 12 = pick 7 unless Collingwood beats Melbourne for Bucks = pick 6.

They can say a player got injured in the warm-up if they want to bring someone else in.ace wrote:I am not sure of the time when our final team needs to be lodged but Essendon start at 13:10 and we at 15:20.

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

I don't know which one is correct but I am sick of people trying to put a +ve spin on it.
Either one is negative.

I think Weller will be left out and White and Rice will debut.

Sounds like Lonie trained strongly and has done well at Sandy, so that should get him a game over Mav who is just not quite getting it together.

Or Weller is playing so The Saints have a positive spin to lure his brother.Con Gorozidis wrote:EitherTeflon wrote:Leave Weller out

Re: Team for Round 23 V Tigers
What is the big deal about Mavs brother? Is it that he is Mavs brother or is he seriously a good player. Sure he is young and pretty but he has not shown much improvement this year. My thinking is that it is not worth playing Mav just to get his brother.

Had to to reward Line for being the only player to make and impact in the VFL last week, guess, we are putting Newnes on the neckline rotations

One of the strangest decisions this year. Has White fallen out of favour again or is he injured?Jacks Back wrote:LOL! Lonie for Gilbert. They can't be serious!kosifantutti wrote:StKilda v Richmond

Re: Team for Round 23 V Tigers
I think Richo is trying to destroy Brandon's confidence.
He plays a couple of really promising games and then gets dropped.
Now gets a teaser squad promotion.

Re: Team for Round 23 V Tigers
I just cannot understand the selectors.
How many chances has Lonie had in the seniors to prove himself?
White has shown great promise in his limited chances and never deserved to be dropped last week. He certainly should have replaced Gilbert.

Re: Team for Round 23 V Tigers
To me, the bigger issue is again that Weller goes skating by...
What is it that the match committee is seeing that I'm not with Mav.
At least Lonie is performing well in the VFL, one can understand the logic but Mav I simply don't get it in any form. In a game where we dominated, he had a WHOPPING 12 disposals.

Re: Team for Round 23 V Tigers
Has White transgressed behaviourally? Absolutely bizarre decision to drop him in the first place. Now compounded by this. Unless there's something only the selectors know. It would want to be serious.
I think you're pretty tough, don't I?

He's named as the first emergency so the transgression might have been a small one - like parking in Richo's car space.GregPackhamsHeadband wrote:Has White transgressed behaviourally?
