Not sure if this is a joke - I know he doesn't have too many fans on this board - I think he's a very good player - might have something to work on between the ears, but I think he has talent - I was keen on us getting him a year or 2 ago when he was out of favour - if we could get him reasonably cheap and he committed to giving it a serious crack as a back man - I would be keen to get him as carlisles mate as our other kpd - brown will ease out and Goddard will have to earn his spot

I think Watts isn't bad. Maybe he needs a new club and he can play.

He is nearly as old as Brown and not as good.

He's actually a big unit and versatile. Only 26.

We don't need Lever as we have Brandon White who is going to be much better.

We also have Paddy, Hugh and Freeman.

We just need Kelly.

Trouble is with Paddy, Hugh and Feeeman, they haven't really shown anything. Paddy can take a good grab and has good skills, is injury prone, and hasn't stamped himself at all on any senior game, nor has Hugh and who knows with Freeman. I would like those three to succeed, but I am not holding my breath. We really need to look at guys who can quickly slot into senior footy.

Rockcliff gone?

Has there been a confirmed announcement? Last I read Lions were confident he was staying...but that Crows were still in the chase.

Ok perhaps I should have said it's going to take a bit of money over @600k and 3yr plus contract to get him to move
That would put him 30yr old - question marks over his shoulder although he has held together this year ok
Always thought he was coming home to Vic or staying with lions

I didn't want to start a new thread, as I hate breaking forum rules  :o

Just reading about Watts in the media,
we could do worse than offering him a lifeline.
There's no real chance of Paddy being a regular senior player, with all his issues.
While Battle and Marshall are developing, having Watts gives depth and variety- and we are light on for a decent forward,
with Baroose being the comedic bumbler like Mr Bean.
I can see Watts playing lots of senior games up forward, giving Baroose a chance to drop back to Zebs to work on stuff
Then when Battle gets regular games, Either Watts or Baroose goes back to Zebs

Atley is possibly the worst 'user by foot' in the whole competition.

Only recruit if we want a presence in the GF Day Sprint.
