Yup. Season over.

It'll be a junk game vs Richmond in rd 23. At least some certainty when Roo is finishing up.

Forever, it'll be known as the Riewoldt era until 2017.

Abysmal 1st half, ducked us for the rest of the game. Players need a good hard look at themselves and see they aren't ready for finals yet,b not even close

They need to do something next year or richo is sacked

burnt our tickets coming back in the third quarter a man down. Goal kicking has crieled our season and just about the number one priority to work on.

Not good enough to play finals. Gresham needs to play at Sandy. His decision making and kicking is not good enough for the AFL

Weller needs a spell, we need to learn to kick, how many simple goals has Brice missed this year?
At least longers progressed this year , jack Stevens needs to lift plates one good quarter a game at the moment.
I guess we're all disappointed but at least we fought back, it's about where we are

Pathetic effort again served up when our season is on the line, as usual.

I think this along with our goal kicking shows how mentally week our team is.

Like whom??

Maybe some of them need time to learn the game.

That's just a token excuse.

So....

We have a grunt midfield that doesn't provide grunt.
We have a midfield that racks up possessions that doesn't get possessions.
We have tackling midfielders that can't hold tackles.
We have marking forwards that can't hold a mark.
We have goal kicking small forwards who miss goals.

We have a coach who focuses on defence, but we can't defend.
We have a coach who always talks about being 'strong', but we're weak.

I think that just about sums it up.

Next saints dvd
"Josh Bruce and an open goal highlights"
Find it in comedy section of jbhifi

Unbelievable the comedy of errors today. How can we be that bad??
So its pretty clear our rebuild is middle of the road north/tiger style
No flags with this mediocre workmaike squad.

Thanks, I missed one...

After GCS we are the worst coached side in the competition - Richardson is a dud!

That first half was a disgrace.

Plain and simple. No structure, no set up, no back up.

I'm a firm believer that we cooked our season in the first dozen rounds, but today's first half just put the exclamation point on it.

Definitely need to play Marshall Battle and Long. Weller needs a rest he is very ordinary, Brown hasn't done much lately either. We should have been in front at 3 quarter time. Those missed goals really hurt but that has been the trend all year.

cant blame the coach for ordinary skills. Our kicking for goal has cost us the season over many games.

What happened to Billings eye?

This is a concern - we broke a record this year - I think a factor of things - really good marketing changes.. people feeling the dream is possible (dogs).. 'the build'

I think there will be a fair portion drop off, maybe back at 35k?

Stitched up by two almost unknowns - James Harmes 3 goals in 1st quarter, and first year player
Mitch Hannan scoring two goals in last quarter right when it counted. (A la Daniel Metropolis).
(Melb supporters - that's no 19 and 43).
Demons good right across the ground for most of the day. Worried Saints out of it when we had it.
Executed well when they had it.
Oh well, on to 2018.

1. Sloppy and indifferent first quarter.
2. Inaccuracy has slaughtered our season - today included.
3. A positive sign of coaching to get us back in the game.
4. Endeavour was shown but we looked a little mystified the MCG was so big !
5. Last Qtr - the wheels fell off, not sure why - but basic errors and kicking to opposition players has riddled our season like maggots in a salad. Today we had to eat it!

This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.
