Roberton to Brisbane
I have heard through the bush telegraph, Roberton has been up in Brisbane seeking somewhere to live.
He has told his management he is unhappy with what the Saints have offered and has indicated that Brisbane will come to the party.
NOo sure what happened to out war chest of available funds to protect someone that will run close to All Australian

Re: Roberton to Brisbane
Yeah, being a Frankston boy who jumped at the chance to come home from WA he'd be looking to jump ship to Brisbane - what, with their premiership window wide open? Oh, that's just broken glass where the window used to be.
Given the absolute crap season he is having why would we want to keep him?

Considering he came to us to be near he and his wife's family, I doubt he's moving to Brisbane.

So was this "bush telegraph" after yesterday's 3AW rumour file? Or before.

Seem to be a lot of rumours spun by other clubs keen to make us panic and squander our
war chest on existing Saints.

No the bush telegraph is vastly superior to the NBN.Con Gorozidis wrote:Is the bush telegraph like the NBN?
Even the bush telegraph's business plan was written on a piece of paper not on a drinks coaster.
When you use the bush telegraph you don't have to pay charges for virtual data and virtual bandwidth that don't exist because the real world data and bandwidth raises insufficient income.
And no-one has to wear red underpants on their head when you use the bush telegraph.
But most important of all the bush telegraph is more reliable, no fibre and no copper.

Nuthin wrong with the NBN Ace. I have got a radio link to my place and we are in seventh heaven. Previously, we couldn't even get standard ADSL and had to rely on a mobile device that gave us a whopping 8GB/mnth for $50 bucks. Try explaining the reason to a private school why you daughter can't download or submit her assignments online with the old mobile device! NBN is the best thing since electricity where I live. Now, if only I could make a mobile call from anywhere but the family room............

Investment property. Prices are better than MEL and you get to tax claim a trip north in winter. Gabba doesn't have a roof either.

Re: Roberton to Brisbane
he's got 3 kids.
He was really keen to move to Melb from Perth
when he was a Docker, because he and his wife were homesick.
3 kids, living near wife's family, means you can spend quality time with extended family, all those important events
like birthdays, family celebrations, family bbq's
Move to Brisbane and you know nobody.
In a while, wifey gets despondent because she was "dragged all the way up north for your job"
Sounds like a brilliant plan.
My sister moved to Qld years ago, with hubby n 5 kids, and sometimes for Christmas,
my immediate family would pile into a couple of cars and do the big drive up the Newell Hwy
as a road trip, spend 3-4 weeks with them.

May as well shut up shop now if we let him walk after a season such as his.

He thinks he's got a story based on a dream he had, or maybe someone who looks like Robbo was spotted in Brissy.
Robbo has that universal "boy next door" look about him, must have doppelgangers everywhere
