Just because people want more from Longer than 1 kick, 1 mark and 5 handpasses a week it doesn't make them haters. Everyone wants him to play well but besides a couple of games this season he's been poor. Statistics would also show this.

Let's hope he backs it up and smashes Gawn next week.

As mentioned earlier, we set a record for forward fifty tackles up to 3/4 time. An AFL record. Couldn't turn that into a score. We dominated possession after half time. Still couldn't put them away. Our problem all year. Get the butcher paper and texts out AR. We need to fix this ratio of possession to score, or else we'll never win that flag. Start by sacking your forward coach.

Can we learn from the WCE - Kennedy to one side - every other bugger to the other - kick it to Kennedy - Goal!

Even if it gets turned over - there is no fat side for them to switch to

Now lets go back 10 years and do that with Riewoldt
Riewoldt to one side - every other bugger to the other - kick it to Riewoldt - Goal! PREMIERSHIP !!!

The two flaws are you must deliver the ball from within the corridor not down one wing AND the other buggers have to be good enough to force their opponent to man up and not go with Kennedy / Riewoldt.

1/ Brown is way way better than Delaney. Kennedy is a very good players and was on the end of many excellent passes.
2/ Brown is already our stop gap full back. He will do till either Goddard or another emerges, or we recruit another. In the meantime having him and Carlisle has helped our backline enormously.
3/ Problem is also not Brown, but rather that we often defend the midfield corridor very poorly allowing quick and direct ball to Brown's opponent.

I agree, Brown is definitely not the problem. Think he has done a great job this year against the monster forwards that have often destroyed us in years past.

I don't understand what your issue with Carlisle is?
I would have thought he has been a 'shining light' for us and would be in the top 3 currently in our B&F.
As it is it took until Rnd 20 for you to post your comment and even then it was completely wrong as Carlisle wasn't playing on Kennedy, Brown was.
And BTW, how many did Kennedy kick against us last season? I reckon the coaching panel would be 'rapt' they limited him to only 5 goals.

Carlisle plays centre half back where he can use his marking and be able to set up play from the half-back line.
He would be wasted wrestling with the full forwards like Kennedy and Hawkins.

Kennedy got a few goals from positioning himself in the right spot, plus good delivery came down from his teammates. I would like Bruce to play a bit more like that- run hard, make space, lead to the player coming down with the ball and demand it.

Maybe ask the coaching panel why they chose to do what they did, instead of 'dumping' on Carlisle?
Maybe ask Luke Beveridge why he chose to play Tom Boyd in the ruck instead of FF - after all they signed him on a multi-year, multi-million contract as a FF.

I actually am having difficulty understanding the point you were trying to make when you seemingly took the 'pot shot' at Carlisle for not playing on Kennedy, but instead playing a different role.
A role he has universally been praised for all season long.

IMHO we saw a deficiency on our list for an 'A-grade' CHB and went out and bought one in Carlisle.
You obviously have a differing opinion on what he is and where he should be played.

Coaches put a value on 'intercepting' and 'creating' and very often don't match their best defender against the opposition's best forward.
Same goes for midfielders - often a tagger is sent to negate a prolific ball-winner rather than your own prolific ball-winner.
