I seriously considered giving 15 players a vote each. Love it when there is such a genuinely ripping team effort.

Re: Votes
5. Jack Steele - it is interesting to note that Jack has been a higher handball than kick player since the day he started with GWS. This can be good - as a play maker - or bad - as a reaction even to a player under opposition stress. The improvement in his game this year has been to do more of the first than the second and he now is getting the confidence to kick when it is required - especially around goals.
4. Dillon Roberton - our back line is still precarious, but with Jake Carlisle, Dillon is a true A grader who can take contested marks and has good decision making skills.
3. Jack Billings - a frustrating player to watch because of his Jekyll/Hyde skills. But, he was the forward play maker who made the difference.
2. Luke Dunstan - our best "at the ball" mid on the day.
1. Koby Stevens - one of those players I like - who is hard and tough and strong and goes straight for the ball, irrespective of whether there is an opponent between him and it. In the style of Aaron Hamill and some other past Saints greats. Hopefully he can avoid the resultant injuries.
Special mentions: Tim Membrey, Billy Longer, Jake Carlisle, Blake Acres, Shane Savage, Jack Sinclair and Seb Ross (indicating a good team performance)
Umps - 9/10

Re: Votes
Even though he's not in the votes I'm surprised I'm the only one to mention Gresh's impact. A modest 18 disposals and no goals, but jeez he was dangerous and his superb reading of the play set Jack up for the sealer.
