I missed the game with my son, as we probably will the next three games because he plays footy himself on a Sunday afternoon. He wasn't at all pleased when I said I was going to watch Roo play his last few games instead of going to his footy.

It's bloody hard, isn't it sainter45. I got there at half time with one son who finished at 12, the other half stayed with the other son to watch his last lightening round match.

If I didn't have reserved seats it would be more difficult to do that.

Credit also to the bloke in the row in front of me who arrived with his kitted up kids at three quarter time!

So Jiggster, you're right about the quality of the crowd - even level 2 was going off with its own spontaneous renditions of the club song into the final quarter ...

Noddy - even if you didnt have gastro - and you choose not to go to the game - you are not a fair weather supporter in my books.

We have a lot of very very SOFT supporters.

Sounds about right. We've probably got about twenty-thousand-odd diehard supporters, but the rest are fair weather supporters.

Hmmm I'm worried they won't turn up again to the MCG next weekend.

I resent that statement that I and my wife are fair weather supporters. We both dragged ourselves out of bed yesterday suffering a BAD bout of Gastro and flu. We sat in the OUTDOORS last weekend in the rain. When was the last time you felt the rain at a Saints game Sainternist. We are full members and would love to be at every game but due to circumstances cannot get to melbourne every week. I and 1000s of our members are the in the same boat

I'm not referring to the likes of yourself and your wife. For what I gather, you don't even live in Melbourne, so you most certainly aren't in the fair-weather demographic. I was referring to the people who live in Melbourne and won't show up after the team loses a string of games.
