Sides that are performing poorly often rush young players into the seniors before they are ready.
The good teams make them have a long apprenticeship where Hawthorn was one of the best at this.
They would often have players tally 50 VFL games so they are really ready to step up.
It also makes the player very appreciative of his senior place when he gets it.

Mr. White will hopefully be a great fit into the backline, along with the likes of Mr. Brown, Mr. Blonde (Jake Carlisle), Mr. Pink (Jarryn Geary), Mr. Orange and Mr. Orange (Dylan Roberton).
