Well that's what's likley to happen when you only have 1 ruck in the side compared to three big forwards, Billy passed the test to Be fit for this week... what's so hard to understandJacks Back wrote:So one rule for the number one pick but another for a ruckman just because they don't want to play Tommy or, heaven forbid, Holmes?kosifantutti wrote:I find it disturbing that we left him out there if that's the case.tony74 wrote:Billy got a knock in the first half and although he didn't have concussion he wasn't taking in instructions. Bit concerning really given his earlier run of concussions previously. Coaches and runners were passing on tactics and he was basically forgetting them immediately. Doesn't mean an excuse but perhaps a reason. Cleared fully for this week.
Although most weeks I give Billy instructions that he totally ignores.

Billy seems to be concussed every game all game, so what's the difference.

Billy was very good today! Kicked when he should, attacked the pack, hand balled etc. No problems. Very good last quarter.
This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.

Why is all this crap being espoused this week?
My post was about the last minute of last week's game, not about Billy per se.

Like many Sainters, I was down at the front when the boys came past doing high fives with supporters and celebrating the win. Billy Longer came past us and he had a grin as wide as the Nullarbor on his face! He also had scrapes and scratches all over his back and shoulders. That guy is the real deal. 100% genuine honest toiler. I won't have a bar of anyone picking holes in his game after today's effort!

Re: Billy Cost Us The Game
I agree. It looked really bad upon multiple viewings. I also think the team was most ill-prepared for that situation. It still strikes me as a farce that we blew a 10 point lead with less than two minutes to go and in a game so low scoring. Good teams never blow those leads. End of story!Bernard Shakey wrote:I don't as a rule start many threads.
