he won't be offered a new contract, it runs out end of season.
I think he was kept in the team to see if he could offer anything more,
the club has now had a good look at him.

If he wasn't on notice, then why keep him in if he got under 8 possies all the time?

Yes, but the position for most of the game is key forward and Bruce is currently way in front in that role.
