We are so bad, uncompetitive and boring that even the Swans fans left at three quarter time.

Make the call Roo, it's all over mate the knees are shot, don't make the club be the ones to do it.

Loved your career, but it is time

Best thing about tonight is the debut of Marshall. Riewoldt and Montagna should hang them up.

Yes, it's been a while since we conceded an "Everitt". The signal that your team has lost the plot.

we fought it out at least, even if they did drop off. hopefully joey is able to comeback to play a final game.
pluses - dunstan, marshal was alright for a debutant in a team well beaten, ross continues to rack up possessions, ... and that's about it.

Lost all 4 quarters again.

Hickey went well at Sandy! As did Battles. Let's bring them back in next week and debut Connellan and O'Kearney, because we were never in the game tonight. And all of those guys did well today at Kardinia Park.

Too many guys tonight turned the ball over, and they need to be dropped.

Just once maybe the coach will be honest and admit we are a long way from being seriously competitive.

I don't know what the club is doing when the rookies (Marshall, NOK & Connellan) are travelling better than our senior listed draft picks of the last year or two.

Serious change is needed I think.

Let's hope so.
We are shite. Our list is full of spuds at AFL level, we need a serious list clean out.

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

It was not a great performance and another reminder of how far off the pace we are.

I guess it hurts more after being teased by performances like those against the Tiggies, but that is what comes with teams trying climb back off the mat.

While it hurts and it might seem apparent that the best course of action is to start again, I would suggest we look at Melbourne, Carlton and Richmond who all threw their toys out of the cot in recent times because their rebuilds were taking too long. I don't think any of them achieved anything other than slow down their climb with this course of action.

Nothing worth anything comes easy, and nothing that comes easy is worth anything. I think we have seen glimpses in performances like those against GWS and Richmond to suggest that something is underway at Seaford but with youth comes inconsistency and that is why we have also had to endure nights like those against the Swans and the Bombers and the Crows etc, etc.

I may well be wrong, but at the end of the day rebuilds take time, if you honestly expect us to premiership contenders 3 years after a wooden spoon and that falling short of this requires burning it down and starting again, we will be doing that again and again and again and never get anywhere.

I thought this was an interesting review of the match and the direction of the club..

Swans may end up dropping out of the 8 now. They have some tough games coming up. We have some very winnable ones after today.

Swans have 2 easy games in North and Freo. Both in Sydney. Importantly too they have a good % currently at 115%. So a handy advantage on any team that they may tie with wins with.

But yes Hawks could well win all 4 games left now given their current form. Tigers may possibly upset them though.

Dees should gain at least 3 wins, even of we somehow knock them off. They will finish above us.

With both Dons and Dees they havea good % gap on us, and so we would most likely have to win more games that them to get above them.

Dons I see as winning at least 3 more. Maybe 4.

Dogs on current form only 1 or 2. We may get above them

WCE 2 wins if we knock them off. Only a minor % gap. We may overtake that %, or maybe not.

And then the Saints. On recent form we could lose every game. Roos and WCE over here are the most winnable. PA probably the most difficult. I don't think at present that you can say we have any definite wins.

Given our poor % we would probably have to win 4 out of 5 games to make the 8. Based on our last two games that is very unlikely.

If we lose to Power and the Dogs lose to the Dons our season will probably be over.
