Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 18 2017
Two weeks ago - I was totally in support of where we were going and in the coaching staff - now I feel just like I did after the melbourne game - wondering why I feel like it is 1981?
This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.

If Richo doesn't go at the end of this year - his whole assistant's panel needs a bloody good clean-out! They bring nothing! Geelong has the best 'nursery' model of all league teams.

It is sad watching Roo an all time great reduced to this.

Roberton is our best to half time, I think.
But we're nowhere near it.

Riewoldt needs to retire. His reflexes are gone. He's getting thrashed by a rookie.
Boys v men.... first geary, then acres. Who from our team looks even half capable of inflicting a bit of pain on the swans like that??
Premium 89 - not ONE player. ALL too soft. Too many arm-tackling, short-stepping, pretty-boy wanna be's at this level.

Disagree. Rubbish delivery coupled with a very good performance by Melican.Joffa Burns wrote:It is sad watching Roo an all time great reduced to this.

Roo - beaten by a nobody. Nil impact
Longer - zero impact, as usual
Billings - kicking poor. As usual
Lonie - weak and ineffective, as usual
Joey - too slow
Steven - is he playing?
Ross - doing nothing
Lucky we're not down by 50 tbh.

I've always been positive, rose coloured glasses type supporter, but we are the 18th best team in the comp right now. The Richmond game was the worst thing that's happened to our development.

Richardson has zero Plan B....
No pressure, no accountability. He is losing credibility and quickly

Panicked rubbish.
Webster should apologise to Acres for a suicide handball. That passage summed up our play. We just play DUMB football.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 18 2017
We don't have the cattle to compete with the good teams.
We are not as hard as the swans.
Guys we rate on this site like Sinclair and Billings are skillful but not hard enough at the contest.
Too many guys sub AFL standard like Lonie and C graders like Stevens and Steele who are found wanting against good opposition.
Roo must retire for his own dignity, not even a shadow of himself.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 18 2017
Will Carlilse at least try and get into a defensive contested contest?
He's back to his Essendon sulky best - got torn a new one by Sinclair in the opening quarter and now he's too sooky to contest unless he's on his own. Does to much letting our small backmen take the hits whilst he waits for the ball to get out.

I think it is time to start blaming the umpires, when the afl arent having affairs with each other, they instruct the umpires to cheat against us you know

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 18 2017
But...Hickey isn't playing. I thought it was all his fault we lost last week. Wasn't it?
This cr@p where we allow teams to kick multiple goals against us to put games beyond our reach has been going on now since 2013. The team has been turned over in the last four years but is it still happening. If Sydney come out and kick the first two goals in the third quarter the game will be over. Our coaches need to make a move NOW and the team need to come out in the third quarter and show some fight.
If Sydney are allowed to come out after half time and kick the first two goals in their third quarter it is a coaching problem not a players' one. Swing the moves now and allow the players to come out and attack the footy and the man with the footy.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 18 2017
This makes me feel sick.... do we have a game plan? It appears that when a team can match our intensity / pressure they have our measure. And this is what happens if their attack on the ball is better than ours. Hmmm.......
