Hickey just proved the point made in this thread.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Demoralising . I'm shattered. All week I've been pumped. In front of a huge crowd we've done a 'Richmond'.

They are faster, have more marking strength, and far better anticipation of where the ball is going to drop

Hurley has slaughtered Rooey tonight.
Battle just a kid who is lost.
Too much run out of the back line and murdering us in the ruck and clearances
They are far too quick
This is a massacre

can't play against quick teams that spread. And on a night that the saints supporters actually turn up

getting really ugly. saints just not in the game. that's theseason donefor us, but the bombers look like they'll make it. just a bad fixture for us with the 6 day breaks followed by two interstates against top teams to come.

Its absolutely painful. 23 points for almost 3 qt of footy.

From its here its really about what we do about it.
We saw Richmond come back from 10 points at half time to end up with 71. Thats 61 points in a half - despite knowing they would lose (well very unlikely to win)

SO what you going to do Saints?

I can't diagnose the team, but, on the evidence of this blog and Big Footy, the supporter base is definitely bipolar.
