Did Shane Savage do enough to keep Webster out?
Obviously Webster misses another game and Shane won't be dropped on that performance.
Savage came in as a like for like substitute and he was decent
22 disposals, 16 kicks, 6 handballs, a whopping 8 marks including a few goal savers under pressure and 3 tackles.
Like many on the night, he was guilty of a couple bombs forward that went straight to the tigers and I don't recall him being super damaging.
On a night where we dominated, it felt to me like he was just ok and it wasn't the type of performance I wanted from a guy trying to cement himself in the team. I really think he's just not cut out to be a defender/quarter back... not damaging enough. I reckon he needs to sit on the forward 50 and bomb a few in like Monty did tonight and harass harass harass.
What do others think?

Thought he had a good game with some solid marking down back - prefer Webster though who should slot back in

Webster.
Savage might stay in though at Dmac's expense.

Richo said post-match that Weller will probably need to come through the VFL on the back of tonight's result.
If those in Webster's spot are performing I feel the same should be said for Webster- even though I think Webster is a better option.
Think your assessment of Sav is harsh if he plays the exact same game next week and the result is exactly the same he is no chance of being dropped.

Savage played an excellent game and definitely should retain his spot.
DMac should be first to go.

I prefer Savage.
Thought the changes, forced and unforced, made for our best team in a long time. No wonder we won big.
I think Weller, Dunstan and Paddy (and yes, even Webster) should not be automatic selections.

Sav was very good tonight. Great sight, Sav and Newnes continually running out of our defence and kicking long into our forward line.
More than "just OK".

Savage was playing for his AFL career last night. Good to see him respond so well.
When Webster returns from suspension, it would be a great asset for Savage to still be in good form.

Webster went out doto suspension. Weller went out due to poor form. Weller will havevto come back in after playing in vfl and form is better.

Based on his performances in the AFL this season I have Paddy down as an automatic selectionWaltzing St Kilda wrote:I prefer Savage.
