You relentlessly negative carping knockers on this site, now you're basking in it as if you wanted to win rather than be proven right. Have a look back over your posts and be ashamed.

I'm happy for the local Saints supporters who have had rare moments of cheer over the years, and for those who made the trip west - especially the cheer squad who surely are the most dedicated of Saints fans. Have a great night on the town (even though it is Perth).

Take a bow Jack Steele.
Pretty quiet for most of the day, only ended up with 15 touches but he laid a monster 17 tackles. SEVENTEEN!!
10 more than anyone else on the ground.
I remember a chat he had on the radio earlier he in the season (MMM or SEN I'm guessing)
In that interview he said something along the lines of
"When I'm having a quiet one, I just try and focus on my tackling, getting around the ball and hopefully it turns my game around"
Well played Man of!

Lyon won us that game by playing two ruckmen.
One of who was injured.
He really is a stupid coach.

We played poorly. The win was good and important...last quarter showed some guts.magnifisaint wrote:bulls***! Kicked poorly at the start but straightened up when it mattered.carn_sainter wrote:Well done, Saints.

But we kicked 12 goals against a bottom 8 team that was 1 man down the whole game. We missed goals we should have kicked and were let off the hook by Freo quite a bit.
It's great we're in the 8 but if we play like that in the finals it's a moot point. That's what I mean by play poorly.
The 'when it mattered' argument just doesn't hold. Every shot on goal matters...the only way to build a lead and have won a game before the last 90 seconds is through kicking goals.
This sounds quite negative after a gutsy win, but there is a difference between a gutsy win and a really well executed 4 quarter game.

Knocked the mentality of the team, and had my pants pulled down completely, bad call by me. f*** me, Billings, Bruce, Gresh and Membrey were huge when it mattered. Best part is, we aren't anywhere near our best.

Those cheating bastards will be suffering in their jocks tonight, they couldn't manufacture a win for the Dockers tonight no matter how much they cheated.mullet wrote:those cheatin umpires not only did they make us kick bad they made walters kick lotsJoffa Burns wrote:Umpire Walters has torn us a 'new one'.mullet wrote:Is that why we have kicked 16 points... those cheatin umpiresJoffa Burns wrote:Con Gorozidis wrote:16 frees eachlongtimesaint wrote:They are still getting the 50/50 frees
