Bet I'm not the only one who said a hallelujah when he took that grab in the last quarter! All our forwards have been making that kind of stuff look damn hard (which it probably is)!!

Re: Carlisle
Very good today. Reads play superbly. Puts body on the line. Good decision maker.
Just sometimes takes a while to get to a contest.

I agree with all the statements above but he is capable of more and we don't use his strongest assets. Marking.Sainternist wrote:Loving the work of Cutthroat Jake. The guy is killing it week in, week out.

Sure. Would be more than happy for him to add an extra string to his bow. How good was his goal today? I enjoyed that.ROLS-LEE wrote:I agree with all the statements above but he is capable of more and we don't use his strongest assets. Marking.Sainternist wrote:Loving the work of Cutthroat Jake. Their fans will be carrying on like pork chops every time he goes near the ball. I hope that'll only spur him on to want to stick it right up 'em!mr six o'clock wrote:Hopefully he will be the match winner for us when we play the druggies in a couple of weeks

Re: Carlisle
Absolutely rapt with his "slow burn". After so many years with an undersized backline he and Browny are an absolute revelation.
I just feel a tad wistful that neither Chips nor Shinner got to play out a season or two with at least one of them.

Re: Carlisle
I know he's tall but he looks very slow. I think Chips or Dempster could be doing a better job if they were a few years younger.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

I tend to disagree. His running motion looks a bit lumbering, but he can cover the ground fairly quickly and is a pretty good athleteJacks Back wrote:I know he's tall but he looks very slow. I think Chips or Dempster could be doing a better job if they were a few years younger.

Re: Carlisle
I'd like to know which games he's dominated?
He's been OK, good some games.
You must have been some ruckman/KPP Stoney... where was it again?
BTW... I'm not that small, nor that big, just a typical 6' mid
But it's not the size of the dog is it champ, just look at big Paddy
