Re: Paddy Concussed
Never questioned our selection of Paddy before, but my belief is wavering. How many injuries can he possibly get? He might not be durable enough to be a great player for us

Re: Paddy Concussed
He just can't get a break. Should have been selected to play tomorrow.
Curb your enthusiasm - you’re a St.Kilda supporter!!
Re: Paddy Concussed
It happened 5m from me, it was his poor technique that caused the contact.
No idea how to pick the footy up in a contest without going head first
As Danny Frawley said, he only had to turn his body.

Just a waste

Re: Paddy Concussed
Sad day - you wonder how many more concussions he can sustain before he is forced out of the game?

jesus wept. the saints curse continues. paddy just doesn't strike me as the most naturally self aware fellow, but somehow needs to learn how to protect himself in contests.

Is it luck that he constantly runs into people or does he lack judgment, timing and agility?Joe Bloggs wrote:Far out the lad has no luck.
The problem is idiots tell him he has to 'crash packs' which means he spends his time running into packs.
What we actually recruited him to do is kick goals and not get injured.

One concussion too many I fear, high probability his career maybe over before it begins.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Would appear he's a bit thick. How many concussions did Lockett or Hall have? All over!

Re: Paddy Concussed
There is a very good chance Paddy will never reach the 50 AFL game mark.
Could be a complete bust.

Re: Paddy Concussed
You've seen the incident, I haven't. When you say technique, did it appear that it was just a matter of poor technique? If so, you have to wonder who's teaching him.BigMart wrote:Technique
Or was the poor technique due to a kid trying too hard? Trying to get back into a team he should've been in anyway.
I'm not one who thinks we shouldn't have drafted him with Pick 1. I reckon the kid is a jet. My concern is the way we're developing him. He needs senior games and in succession.

Re: Paddy Concussed
He is only 21. AFL push players earlier than many other footy codes. Rather than jump to conclusions lets wait and see what the medicos say and go from there. I think also we need to forget the draft number and look at him as a young player at StKilda. Not easy to do but once they walk in the door the pick number is irrelevant
Hopefully he is ok and contributes much in the future to this team

Re: Paddy Concussed
He is a poor man's Kosi.
Kosi spent 90% of his career as a witch's hat but at least Kosi could occasionally pinch hit in the Ruck and was a very nice set show for goal.

Do you think he is a jet based on actual observation and actual attributes or just his draft pick #?Linton Lodger wrote:You've seen the incident, I haven't. Genuine question. I am not trying to pick a fight or be a smart alec.
I just genuinely want to know what it is that people see in him - leaving the draft pick # out of it.
Just pretend he was pick 24.

Re: Paddy Concussed
Q1 against Richmond last year. Playing on Rance before he broke his collarbone. Looked every bit like he was going to tear the game up. He is far from talentless IMO, but we haven't really had a great look at him over an extended period to see it emerge.Con Gorozidis wrote:Do you think he is a jet based on actual observation and actual attributes or just his draft pick #?Linton Lodger wrote:You've seen the incident, I haven't.
