Ablett ruled OUT
Not good for him on his 300th.

Now there's no Ablett, Hall, Barlow, Rosa, Matera.
This really is a chance for us to regain our %, and will be very disappointing if we can't post a big win. Getting quite sick of 15-25 point wins

Re: Ablett ruled OUT
Sad news that such a great player won't be able to celebrate his 300th game this week, but ripping news for us!
If we can't win this one we don't deserve to make the finals.

Afraid so. We simply have to win and win well.

Re: Ablett ruled OUT
Very bad news for Ablett.
First off we need to win but just as importantly gain %. I'm sick of the 3-4 goal wins as well. So many games in recent times we have posted a solid lead and either let some junk goals through like the North Melbourne game or even worse start lairising with the ball and let teams back into games such as Brisbane and Carlton when 6-7 goals up.
I want to see 4 quarters of intense footaball this weekend!

Re: Ablett ruled OUT
8 years ago in this round roo and ablett squared off in the greatest home and away game of all time. would have been fitting for ablett to have played his 300th this week, but i guess the Suns marketing team might have had a word to the coach.

Re: Ablett ruled OUT
The worst thing that could happen. Really looking forward to him playing.
Ablett being out means we are more likely to damn lose this game.
Complacency.
I suspect Suns announced it much earlier than this arvo deadline
to give the Saints time to mentally relax, their psychology experts are switched on.
Our team has a horrible habit, like Richmond, of relaxing and getting ahead of themselves.
We were 42 pts up on Norf at half-time
Mav gave a weak excuse of "run out of legs"
which makes no sense as they beat Hawks by 75 in Tassy.
They're gonna mentally relax, and as tony74 says quite often, so much of footy depends on what's between the ears.
Expect Suns to hit us hard in the first qtr and get a 3 goal lead
Suns to win by 36-40 points.
I can see Hawks leapfrogging us to get into the 8.

Perth has been 20-25 degrees each day, unlike Melb where it's horribly cold and worse than Norway in winterJoe Bloggs wrote:Geeze WS did the sun come up over there today.WellardSaint wrote:The worst thing that could happen. Really looking forward to him playing.

It started raining on Wednesday, after no rain at all for months.
"*88mm in June" is true, but it only started 2 days ago, champ
Wed overnight, it rained non-stop and I woke up and saw an old bearded guy across the road

A pity that Ablett won't be playing. If we want to improve our standing, we need to beat sides who are at full strength.

Re: Ablett ruled OUT
McClunken... really? One grab??
If he came in and kicked 4/5 soft goals then what... he's made it? Why does he deserve a game over anyone else??
Why not an opportunity for Rice or McKenzie or Freeman???
Because so desperately we want him to be good?? We want him to get a kick against a second rate opposition to make us feel better?
Could we then say he's better than Petracca???
I hate these games, they just give some supporters a false sense of security and a chance to beat their chests.
It should be a 15 goal win
Which will prove FA

A 15 goal win would be most welcome. It would also give us good percentage boost, which could prove crucial by the end of the home and away season. Despite the game being against a weakened opposition, it would also most likely be a sign of efficient ball use and not wasting opportunities inside 50m. I have no idea why anyone would bemoan that.
