This. If I hear, "positive, pleasing" after this I'll throw up.carn_sainter wrote:It's good to win for the first time in 5 weeks but let's not get carrird away...we've scored 12 goals. That won't beat many teams at all and they've kicked themselves out of it all night.
No killer instinct unfortunately

Still not a peep from Watson in the second half.
He is is bitterly disappointed when we win.
Can't even speak.

How can Lonie be so small and so slow at the same time?

Poor end to the game, takes a lot of shine off the win, but at least it's a win...

I don't like to see anyone hurt.
But Waite has bullied us for a long time.
I think he might be thinking about retirement tonight.

I think I'm actually losing interest in the game. In footy I mean. There's no art in it any more.

Saints Win! Look poor but we win! We can't put a team in 15th away but we win. Billings could have killed 5 or 6 but 2 is enough for win. So many inside 50's with poor conversion but we win. Jack Steven was not a factor but we win. It was ugly but we win.The midfield looked so weak after the 1st quartet but we win. Our defenders let 6 goals be kicked in the last quarter but we win.Conversion and skills looked so sad but we win.
This game - this game is why we are in 10th and likely to be 12th at season end.
This game is why we have to let Richardson go...

Tonight has shown we are crap, Yes, we beat a Kay coached team, but, we are going nowhere.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

We give up six goals in the last quarter. Win by under three goals. Not pleasing. Beige coloured footy. Am sure they're trying hard, but that's about it.
Think I need a break from it. Totally uninspired. Anyone else feel that way?

I'm the same. The rules, the death of the handball and the rise of the throw. I watch the saints for sentimental reasons but consume no other aflst.byron wrote:I think I'm actually losing interest in the game. In footy I mean. There's no art in it any more.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Kangaroos Round 13 2017
Nice to win but the midfield got totally wiped in the last quarter. The defensive work of the forwards went missing. Should have won by a whole lot more, so more work for Richo. Seems like once the ball gets in he centre corridor, we lose the plot- luckily North are not that good. Need four quarter footy.

I can't see them beating 3.5 in the final term, let alone the deficit. Fingers crossed.
