Trading in players
Just watching pies and melb and noticing how many traded players collingwood have.
Treloar,Adams,Hoskin-Elliot,Howe,Greenwood,Aish that is 7 with Mayne not playing.
The first six of them of them in their best in most games.
Any thoughts ?

Re: Trading in players
I guess it's just like drafting, half of the guys you trade in don't work out but you still need to keep looking at players by any means…
A lot of the recycled players that we all thought were great 12-18 months ago are actually pretty average at the moment - Bruce, Weller, Savage, Membery, Hickey, Longer - all barely going at the minute, all border-line VFL.
Roberton, Steele, Carlisle, Stevens looking very good, Brown not bad but a short term solution which we badly need to address.
Freeman = iJesus 3.0 just needs to rise from the dead.
The downside is that these mature ring-ins can delay the development of young guys that desperately need game time, so if they're not part of the future then we should favour young guys who may be.

Re: Trading in players
I notice the third Carlton player for the year has been nominated for the Rising Star award. You have to play the youngsters for them to earn a nomination. Long has had two games. Each of our traded in players have played every game.
