No we didn't.
We were horrible.
Not as bad as the first quarter - but our forward movement and skill level was deplorable. This 'bomb it long to the top of the square' nonsense must cease.
It's nonsensical.
Come on, 1.3 to 3.3 for a quarter of football cannot ever be described as 'pretty good'. The day we start describing that as 'pretty good' is the day we are rebuilding.

On a side note - im glad to join in tonight on here. I rarely get the chance to.
HASHTAG being positive.
But how was the pizza?
Look.. its going to need to nurse me through a hangover.
Ive turned to beer in my moment of need. (or thats all that was available)
I hate beer. Im very EARLY 30s. Ive drank less than 3 beers in my life. I hate it.
But when you need support you need support .. and right now i need support.
The Tiger and the Lion may be more powerful, but the Wolf does not perform in the circus.
For a team that relies on pressure we sure are crap at tackling. need to bring in a rugby expert - the guys have no idea unless they get a player unprepared.
also at a loss to understand why we cannot slow the tempo of a game when we're getting rogered. obviously not coached to do so, or very poorly coached. losing any hope richo can take us further. bringing in a couple of elite mids will not bring us success by itself. we need a better general.
okay. rant over. Carn the Saints!

Ross has had a HUGE amont of the ball YES. But has absolutely butchered it unfortunately. Pity that he has not been cleaner with his ball use.
Time after time saints players have gotten to the ball first, but have then either fumbled, or handballed to team mate ina bad position so that Adelaide wins the ball. Sinclair is the exception.

Browns confidence was rocked by Stringer last game (wrong match up)
And Jenkins is too big for him...
He is a mess
I'm really disappointed in Geary, love him as a player... tonight he's played like a nervous teenager
Not good enough from the skipper... to be panicking

Our 'pressure' is a massive myth.
We are one of the easiest sides in the AFL to play against.
We are ranked 18th for opposition disposal efficiency. This means our pressure and tackling is very poor.
outclassed... next year will be better. I like the way Ross and roberton are progressing...I see something in Paddy..... we will have some high picks next year and will pick up (hopefully a tough midfielder) while some of the young brigade will be a bit stronger and street smart. I'm afraid I'm not sure about Richo. apart from that bring on 2018
Stuv- bugger all.
Longer- bugger all.
Stevens- bugger all.
Steele- bugger all.
Mav-bugger all.
Joey- more cheapies and lofted kicking.
Brown- pantsed in that 1st qtr.
Sinclair- bugger all.
Skunk - bugger all.
Gresh- bugger all.
Billings- bugger all.
All our stats tell a lie.
Seb ross is the only bloke having a crack. Apart from Paddy's piss poor attempt at a shoulder charge.
If these guys actually got physical and put some real pressure on.. we could at least push the cobtest. This is gonna be 80+ if they dont harden up. Put your fkn head over it and at least aho us you give a f***

If he's shot for goal wasn't so embarrassing I'd have said he did ok.
He does a few nice things
Pady has been good though his kicking has not been good. That shot on goal was terrible. and that field kick where he had two team mates in the clear, but kick it straight to the Crow in the middle of them.
But overall Paddy has been quite ok.

Better next year? We say that every year.
Roberton and Ross are not the problem. They are already mature. They wont improve much from here.

BM: Too hard on Gears. Betts is in career best form this year. And he gets far too much leniency from the umps. Geary has been competitive under the circumstances.
