Fyfe = a poor man's Acres.
If Fyfe is worth $1.5m a season is Acres going to get $2m a year?

David King said on SEN that we should give Zak Jones $700k.

If we did that I'd give up forever.

Loved the way he just went back and slotted those two goals for us in the last

Obviously he is a good player but Fyfe's form is well down this year.
Mundy, Neale and Walters the stars for Freo so far this season.

He is coming back from a serious injury and maybe, just maybe is not totally invested at Freo!!!!!

Whitfield... GWS need to be weakened, North and us to take some of their skill

Let North overpay for Kelly

We are not quite there, but need to hold the nucleus of the team but make some bold decisions

Lose
Roo, Joey, Armo (my fav) or Dunstan, Gilbo, Longer or Hickey, and a few other avg players.

Include
Whitfield on a strong and long deal for outside skill
A free agent on a good deal with skill
One smart trade - midfielder
First and Second rounder
Upgrade NOK and Marshall

Kelly. He would thrive at the Saints. He could buddy up with McFartin and improve his running.

Would be thrilled if we acquired either Dusty of Josh Kelly. We'd probably be paying overs if we got Fyfe.

Fyfe has been nowhere near his best this year. I wonder if it's a hangover from the injury last year, or if he's already checked out and is just phoning it in? Either way, it makes me prefer Kelly or Martin. I wouldn't say no, though.

Intetesting article.

If this does come to fruition, expecially if its as soon as next year, us and North will be in the box seats. North getting rid of their veterens (bar Harvey) isnt looking so silly anymore. We could essentially bag two high end FA. We will need to make the hard calls on Monty (think he's gone anyway) and Roo, as well as necessary delistings at years end and we are sitting on a massive pile of cash. Would make things very interesting. Along with our two first round pick we are in a very strong position next year.

That's why the club has set itself up for this, it will happen and we are ready to roll, as for Joey and Roo, see 'time to shoot Bambi thread'!!!!!

I don't get why clubs would have extra money to play with? If the cap goes up due to CBA, then when current players sign new contracts, their payment would increase by the amount in the CBA too. So it's not free money.

with the big salary increase, north, essendope and carlton with big salary space is that we get in a bidding war and end up paying way way overs or someone.
