Now that CW is officially on the watchlist with the current suspension, based on previous form it should sort itself out fairly quickly regardless

Bigmart there is a difference between having a genuine opinion (such as yourself, even thou I don't agree with some things you say), and posting remarks and having signatures not to designed to generate discussion or thoughts but to deliberately provoke negative responses and reactions, a deliberate attempt to upset people. This is what citywest, nexus, helen, nexushelen has done for years and never been pulled up by it and thou I am not a avid poster as I once was many years ago, I have always been very confused by the mods not banning citywest where basically all his/her posts are design to annoy and illicit negative responses from people. Go check his posts for anything that is positive ever!

I think the lack of action until now comes from a lack of ability to fully see someone's intentions through words typed on a computer screen, and that is the heart of the problem.

Intentions of a posts are very important. If the intent of a post is to purely to annoy or anger people imo shouldn't be welcomed here (even if it contains truth) and is the main reason I (and I suspect many others) have not actively posted in many years.

I fully believe citywest's posts only intentions are to annoy and make people angry and more than likely doesn't fully believe much of the content of his/her posts, but just looking for that reaction from people (rather than a response) that is the definition of a troll. That doesn't mean someone cannot post something that the majority doesn't agree with in the interest of venting there frustration or generating a discussion of a issue, I whole heartedly welcome that.

A good case study is the difference between your posts Bigmart and Citywests, I don't agree with a lot of things you post about but it is clear you say them through measured thought (well mostly) and they are posted in concern and or seeking feedback and discussion, they may illicit anger ect but that is not their intention, they are intended to inform and discuss your point of view.. Where as Citywest just wants to set the world and see people get upset and react to his posts on fire and then lap up the flames of anger it inspires.

I welcome your opinion Bigmart, I do not welcome citywest's vile rhetoric that is only posted to anger people.

But I could just be on holidays and just returned back home from the pub and make no sense what so ever (and at the very least spelling atrociously) and my post is intended to express my true opinion and generate discussion not to deliberately anger anyone.

I want opinion even if I hate it, I don't want trolls, and imo Citywest has always been and will always be a troll, he would still manage to post something negative and inflammatory if we won 20 premierships in a row.


Anther example of this difference in behaviour from yourself and cityWest is you came to this thread and said you didn't agree and why this is welcomed, citywest would have come in and posted CITYWEST FOR MODERATOR.

The OP on that thread was about the Sydney game and that it was a mistake not going in with another tall forward like Bruce (not that Paddy was not a good pick or whatever). It then degenerated from their but the thread was not supposed to be about the value (or otherwise) of Paddy. Have a look.

We haven't won 20 prems, just one. Criticism unfortunately is often warranted. I know we don't like that harsh reality, but a fact, we are unsuccessful.

Trolling is just a criticism that's not accepted imo

Trolling is not unwanted criticism, it is posting to illicit a negative response and nothing but a negative response, criticism is a discussion, vent frustration and find a solution, a big difference. The 20 prems was just a example of a what if case in terms of a trolls behaviour not a reflection of reality.

This is criticism btw a trolling response would have been "your wrong bigmart and have always been wrong and will always will be wrong". (intended as a example to garner a response, not a reflection of my opinion).

CityWest wasn't disciplined enough to follow his true and tried MO of just saying enough to incite without "technically" breaking forum rules. He knows what he is exactly doing and it is obvious but to a few.
