Great result: Hawks lose and Buckley extends time as Collingwood coach.

Re: Hawks 1st round pick watch
Tom Mitchell 50 disposals, 22 kicks, 28 handballs, 68% disposal efficiency, 308 metres gains (6.16m per disposal) time on ground 90%
Scott Pendelbury 36 disposals, 20 kicks, 16 handballs, 72.2% disposal efficiency, 691 metres gained, (19.19m per disposal) time on ground 80%
Pendelbury 3.1x metres gained per disposal. 2.2x more metres for the game.
100 disposals and Mitchell would not be as damaging as Pendelbury.
As Buckley said "we thought about tagging him" but "he wasn't hurting us".
Treloar was seen mocking Mitchell for racking up the stats.
Hope that is the best Hawthorn has.
It will keep where we want them.

Also needs to be adjusted for turnovers which makes Mitchell even less effective.ace wrote:Tom Mitchell 50 disposals, 22 kicks, 28 handballs, 68% disposal efficiency, 308 metres gains (6.16m per disposal)

If Mitchell could win 50 disposal for us I would take him. Problem is not Mitchell, but the rest of the midfield and team.Con Gorozidis wrote:Also needs to be adjusted for turnovers which makes Mitchell even less effective.ace wrote:Tom Mitchell 50 disposals, 22 kicks, 28 handballs, 68% disposal efficiency, 308 metres gains (6.16m per disposal)

Re: Hawks 1st round pick watch
To really work out his value from a meter perspective you need to look at the meters gained by the possession after his but only when he wins a disputed/contested possession. A great pick up for the Hawks.

Oh dear. Hawks off to a flyer against Sydney. 5 goals to 1 in first quarter.

Re: Hawks 1st round pick watch
Not sure why everyone is excited about how low Hawks can stay on the ladder.
Someone picked in the Top 10 might end up being a dud. We can't control how Hawks play,
but the club can control who they pick.
Not another Spencer White, please.

Re: Hawks 1st round pick watch
Swans don't look the same side as last week.

Re: Hawks 1st round pick watch
That's exactly the reason there's interest: The chances of picking a gun at 2 is far far higher than picking one at 10.WellardSaint wrote:Not sure why everyone is excited about how low Hawks can stay on the ladder.
Someone picked in the Top 10 might end up being a dud. We can't control how Hawks play,
but the club can control who they pick..
Though there's every possibility we'll trade both of our first rounders for a player and in that sense it might be largely irrelevant which first rounder it is..

Bloody Swans...have shafted us two weeks in a row
Though the upside is that the Swans will probably not be competing with us for a place in the 8 now.

Re: Hawks 1st round pick watch
Geeez, scores level, a few minutes left, a Sydney player on 45degree angle, 40m runs into open goal and kicks it 30m to free Hawk defender... they in turn go coast to coast and goal

Re: Hawks 1st round pick watch
Hawks always beat them in sydney - have the perfect type of game against them - clean, smart, patient kicking around the ground. possession football - something we are terrible at.

The Swans newly found "top four" form really paid off for us tonight...

Won't matter in the long run. The Hawks have a tough run home. Will be lucky to win more than 7.SydneySainter wrote:The Swans newly found "top four" form really paid off for us tonight...
