lol@fireperson
but there was no 'Malice' in Plugger
... he just pushed peoples buttons by being Plugger
(AND sometimes , intentionally)
there WAS quite the consistent concerted and systematic campaign against him remember.
... he copped the rawn prawn from the Hang Him High set fairly regularly
That was all a bit catty and unfair.
then a popularity poll , started , voted on and proclaimed by the Bitches is wheeled out as evidence of unsuitability.

I thought jackstevo was a girl called Jacqui? And I can't remember any posts from lennyhaze. How do you know 100% it is P66?

Re: Lennyhaze, Jackstevo permanent bans
Mentioning the poll was a real Sean Spicer pro move.
It was relevant because it supported your position, but if it hadn't supported your position it wouldn't have been relevant, and either way would not have swayed the outcome one jot. By showing a need to support your position (so feebly) you make your position look weak.
My tip is don't mention the poll again.

It must be quite the feeling... having the power to ban?!
P66 has found a new home anyway, he was a supporter with an antagonistic pov, that's all... the fuss is not dissimilar to this Murphy crap?!

In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal, on-topic discussion,[3] often for the troll's amusement.

Interesting comparison.
The decision would have been the same, poll or no poll. The mods have been aware of the lennhaze / P66 link since June 2015 and have debated on previous occasions whether or not to ban. Most recently, in February this year, we discussed and came close to banning that username. The Jackstevo username was recently registered in the wake of it being plainly demonstrated on the forum that lennyhaze was P66. Our decision is not a kneejerk reaction to an arbitrary poll. We decided to allow those usernames to participate in the forum provided no rule was breached. In the event of any rule breach an immediate ban would be issued. That's what happened.
The poll simply reflected that a significant majority of forum members did not want that poster on the forum.

But... You cut off the last bit of my quote and ignored its advice.
If the poll was relevant then reopen the stinger one... Or let's have more like them. We could make it a game like survivor.
It was petty and sad to leave 'the poll' running on the main forum for so long, it is petty and sad to use it as justification or support for anything, and it's petty and sad to continue doing so.

I deliberately cut that bit off your post because I specifically wanted to address the rest. I often cut out in quoting the bits I'm not specifically addressing.
Don't reckon I'm using the poll as justification for our decision. It does though make the job easier when you know that a clear majority of forum members agree with your decision.
We left the poll running for two reasons :
1. There were a lot of responses. 100 votes in the poll is a fair sized sample.
2. We were curious about the result as it was serendipitously posted just a day or two after our decision in February not to ban lennyhaze. We wanted to see if our decision at that time reflected community opinion. It didn't but we stuck with our decision anyway.

I've found P66 to be a genuine St Kilda supporter so he is not a troll (in the sense of someone supporting another team but coming on here pretending they barrack for St Kilda). He was level headed when it came to outrageous statements made by some other "so called" St Kilda supporters and tried to debate with them the merits of their ridiculous comments (like moving back to the Junction Oval for example).
And even though a lot on here hate umpires and reckon that they are cheating against us sometimes, deep down we seriously know their really not which is what P66 was often trying to say.

Re: Lennyhaze, Jackstevo permanent bans
The poll and letting it run was atrocious.
If not, let's have more.
If you'd let the stinger/etc poll run for as long it would've had much more then 100 votes. At a rate of 10 votes per 32 minutes, it could've been thousands!

Re: Lennyhaze, Jackstevo permanent bans
I miss sparring with plugger66 on this forum, and he was one of the most insightful posters about footy matters (and still is over on bigfooty). But threatening someone's family on an anonymous website was going a long way over the line, IMO. And he knew it too: I think it was a bit of an act of self-destruction.
At a certain point, I would suggest to the mods that they could give up trying to chase him (if either of these posters were actually him) down every rabbit hole. If he comes back here under another name and behaves ok, why not let it go?
