I would prefer that Minch stayed in the side- you can't get these guys up a level by having them in and out of the team, and they should be exposed to games like this against a tough team to aid development.

Koby has to come back, he gets a lot of the ball, is tough as nails, is a valuable inside player.

Given how many pages have been devoted to other topics this week, I'm just happy that we're talking about the footy!

Not sure how I feel about Bruce being dropped.

I guess the priority is to win this game so, if that's what it takes, so be it.

On the other hand, although there are lots of questions surrounding Bruce, I don't know that any of them will be answered by dropping him. He's something of a project player. We are trying to work out how best to use him, and how he fits in. He might "gain some form", kick a few goals for Sandy, whatever, but what will that tell us?

Puts the whole team on notice dropping Bruce - particularly Membrey who has dropped away also. Hopefully Paddy can cope with the added pressure?

We lose some speed and pressure with none of Minch, Long, Lonie, Wright playing forward...

Seb, Dunstan, Steele, Koby, Acres...

That's one too many insiders imo
Newnes, Sinclair, Billings, Joey are all our outside players playing tomorrow,
i think Acres is more of an outside player as well

I am a dad - so I have my Dad's joke license

But maybe he has been squeezed.

"We just need him to go back (to Sandringham) and get his form" Richardson said.

The former Giant has also struggled in contests. The AFL average for winning one-on-one contests is 29 per cent – Bruce has won nine per cent of his contests this season.

That's ridiculous. If nick is not able to play, the coaches won't let him, nothing to do with ego.
As a very, very senior player I'd say it would be up to him to make the call.
I'd go as far to say very, very, very senior player.

Looking at that Swine's team...

Tipsy is one of the game's great under-performers. With his attributes, that bloke is just made for the modern game, and should be an absolute star!!! But he ain't. However, I can't easily see where we get the third tall to cover him, Reid and the Ego, if they all are played forward together(?)

Best guess for how to approach this could be Robbo' to Reid (who is the lightest of the three). The problem is that this robs us of Robbo's drive, especially if Reid plays deep.

Roo would normally be available to drop back from the wing to help, but he's now needed at CHF, as I don't think we'd wanna' leave Paddy as the sole key forward(?) We might have to though, and put Members at CHF, with Acres also dropping forward to that region(?)

This is where we could really do with a mobile marking ruckman who can drop back to help out when needed. But... :|

Or... we could just kick a bit straighter to our forwards, and on goal...
