You can have 5 to 1 odds off me about Dunstan out after 28 possessions!bigcarl wrote:Out: Webster (hand), Riewoldt (knee), Dunstan

It's good that there's pressure on for spots. Stevens was pretty impressive against the Giants, though, so may be ahead of Dunstan. Tough choices.whiskers3614 wrote:You can have 5 to 1 odds off me about Dunstan out after 28 possessions!bigcarl wrote:Out: Webster (hand), Riewoldt (knee), Dunstan

Re: Changes v Swines
Just like las week I'll say it again

Re: Changes v Swines
So who goes out for Koby.
He must come back in. Has added so much grunt and hardness. Wins the footy . Kicks goals. Who goes out for him if Dunstan stays in?

Re: Changes v Swines
Time for Gresham to go back and practice the basics.
Good enough for Acres, McCartin and Billings good enough for Jade.

Probably Webster, SB. I think they'll make minimal changes.st.byron wrote:So who goes out for Koby.

I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Yep. Unfortunately for Minch, hasn't grabbed that small forward role. But has done ok. Stevens too powerful to leave out, D Mac in for Webster a good option, look forward to seeing him crack in.longtimesaint wrote:In Stevens, DMac

Nee!

Would they rest him a week after a rest though?

You are the second person who have said that. I can assure you I'm not him or her even though on BF he sounds like a guy. My name is Jacqui by the way. No idea if we are allowed to say names. Sorry if not.
I just think Roo will play a week after a rest. He may miss through injury though. Webster will be out and Dunstan probably goes out for Stevens. McCartin probably deserves to play but I'm not sure how unless Nick is injured.

Re: Changes v Swines
Well after todays game it would seem that the Sandi players in the mix would be:
Paddy
Savage
DMak
Rice
....and I think Long too.
Wright too must be some chance for a recall.
Given the Swans midfield I cannot imagine Koby not playing. Their midfield is very much the type that we need Koby for.
Outs
Webster will miss.
Should Roo be rested? Well none of us have access to his medical and physios advice. But he certainly looks like he would benefit from a rest. A "quiet" Roo is still a valuable contributor though. However Paddy reportedly played very well today.
Our small forwards as a unit were underwhelming, apart from Billings. So I am expecting some change there. Billings too has in the last two weeks mainly played in the forward half.
Dunstan was recalled and his game was certainly a pass mark IMO. Koby will be preferred but it would not surprise me to see one less small forward played and one extra mid.
Do not let the Swans position of the ladder fool you. They have been steadily getting players back and the Swans the Saints will face will be a stronger and more in form Swans unit that many clubs have faced this season. We will need to play better than we did against the Blues to secure the 4 points.
However one plus for this week is that the Swans ruck is not better around the ground and at clearances than Billy is. Whereas Kreuzer was a good contributor for the Blues and achieved 5 clearances.

Re: Changes v Swines
After last week there appears a definite position for position type approach to changes.
Wesbter out - Seems to me its between Savage or Rice .
Stevens comes back form suspension so Minchington out who has been disappointing last 2 weeks. Sinclair can play that small forward role.
IF roo needs a rest then McCartin in, however Bruce contested well and good sides have settled line ups no matter who on reputation it omits

Re: Changes v Swines
Purely from a Roo perspective. Our next 3 goes; Swans, Dogs, Bye.
does he play next week and rest against the dogs to get 2 weeks off? or are we going Rest, Play, Rest?
Either way i think they have to find a way to bring paddy into the side. Kicked 4.5 today. not sure on the nature of the misses.
Minch, Webster maybe Roo for Paddy, Stevens and Dmac. wouldnt be surprised if Marshall or Rice get a call up soon.
