Blake Acres new nick ?
Whilst the nickname Blakers seems to have been broadly accepted, a non saints friend of mine came up with a new one last week whilst watching the Saints dismantle GWS .......Baracus ......I tried it on for size during the week, tested it with my 4 and 6 year old Saints supporting kids and its a winner - at least at my place !
Baracus !!!
Baracus !!!

I like Break-away Acres - cos that is what he does. Break his way through packs and then break away from players....ok I need to keep workshopping that.

Re: Blake Acres new nick ?
Tis is the most annoying thing I can think of!
A nick name may be considered clever or funny, but if you have to explain it in depth, it is kind of lost, it also gets lost if you refer to something that few people have heard of.
The reason that I find it so annoying (to me) simply is that people use their own nicknames for players on the voting thread, it has not happened recently that I could not work out who the person was voting for, but we have had some doozies in the past. If you vote for Baracus, I am going to loom for a Mister T, then maybe make the link to BA, then sort that it means B.A. for Blake Acres, but I could equally make the jump from Mr T to Mr Tom (Hickey) and give Blake's votes to Tom.
I think at one stage, years ago, someone voted for The Hulk, as in Stan Lee, as in Stanley as in Rhys Stanley
/end rant
