Moods wrote:If Koby gets weeks for his sling tackle, how do they reconcile that with the umpire only metres from the incident paying KOBY the free kick! I was sitting 2nd row AFL members near the GWS bench and had a clear view of the tackle. It looked copy book perfect on first look. When I saw Wilson just lying there afterwards I was confused as to what had happened. I thought he was just catching his breath. I haven't seen the replay of the incident as yet but gee whiz, Wilson had the ball all the way to the ground and Koby is entitled to hold onto him until he gets rid of it. Didn't look malicious at all.
Saw it live and one reply...pinned arms, Wilson's head hit the turf, as sometimes happens. However, text book tackle IMO, one motion, one trajectory, looked fine. I'm not even sure Wilson was benced for the remainder of the game, was he?

Only one arm was pinned. The arm holding the ball wasn't pinned.

The player made a choice not to let the ball go.

I have seen the replay at least ten times.

Don't know what you were watching.
You're agreeing with me, dumbarse.
You posted and I quote "pinned arms".PLURAL.

For the record, I have reported your post. :D
Arm's pinned...happy?

I've seen a lot of stupid crap on here in my time, but repeating what a poster has already posted and claiming a point of difference takes the cake. Dumbarse.
No.

Not what you meant at all and arm's pinned doesn't make sense. Not in english anyway.

If you were watching you would known that the player wasn't concussed and came back on.

But I won't stoop to your level with offensive name calling.

You're grasping at straws...concussion didn't even enter the conversation and apparently you're an English teacher now! Anyways, glad you agree (since I saw the replay several times myself, plus quite clearly at the game) it was a perfectly legitimate tackle, Koby should be fine and we can leave it at that.

Well we can agree on that, or part of it anyway.

Concussion does come into it with a sling tackle. Fortunately in this case the player wasn't concussed.

Whether there was one or two motions will decide whether nor not Koby is cited and penalised.

And no, I'm not an english teacher just someone with a reasonable education.

He wasn't concussed, he was hurt. Nobody had done that to him before. It shook him and he was upset and definitely not happy about it. His dad wants to have a word to Koby's parents and his coach. His mum's all upset. They cooked him a nice seafood dinner the following night and do you think he could finish the lot? No. No he couldn't.

That would have beem obvious to anybody with reasonable intelligence.

Ah.

I would've thought what I was really pointing out was obvious to anybody with reasonable intelligence.

But in keeping with the unreasonably petty theme, not sure how you wrote 'nor' instead of 'or' ('n' and 'o' aren't next to each other on the keyboard), unless you thought it was right. And before you answer, I couldn't give a shyte.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I was saying that I might have to have a word to my mate. In the event he rubs Paddy out.

Why would you think I was referring to anything my mate said to Paddy. :? :? :? :?

Great news for Paddy, but really I thought his action was significantly worse than Koby Stevens tackle.

Oh well, we win the one we should have lost, and lose the one we should have won.

As expected with McCartin - from watching the incident involving the 3 players on television

Live, the Stevens tackle looked very good to me - and even better given the tackle was rewarded with a free kick

On 360, Richo said Paddy had no worries but the half wit said he thought Paddy should have been rubbed out.

Richo ignored the comment.

Which halfwit, Saynta? There's a couple of choices there. On another note, I heard Choco Williams tee off on all the ex-player "experts" on SEN today.mOne of the best rants ever. Basic tenet was that blokes who've never done anything other than play football, never managed people, never done anything significant in their lives, merely repeat and spew out what was already said by coaches and "other experts" and bag blokes for not going hard enough, when they themselves were faux tough guys. Nothing innovative or original to contribute. Sensational and so refreshing to hear. I'm looking at you Lyon, King, Brereton, Lloyd, Lucas and Nathan Brown. Bravo, Choco!

I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!
