Any tech savvy sainters out there have advice on how I might get a hold of the match replay in the absence of Foxtel?

If you have Telstra as your internet provider try and get your hands on a second hand T-box. I watch all things afl all week and I get all game replays next day after the live games

you can sign up on afl.com and watch the replay there. I think the first week is free or something, cancel your subscription after you watch the game
