Didn't have a huge impact but still worked hard and did his part.perfectionist wrote:He and Jake had a virus.

Re: St.Nick!!!!!
If Roo had a virus why the bloody hell send him out there? Paddy kicked 7 last week and is knocking on the door anyway.perfectionist wrote:He and Jake had a virus.
How arrogant of Roo or stupid of the selectors to believe a 34 year old with a virus is a better choice that our #1 draft pick.
Regardless, next week against the Blue's is a perfect opportunity to rest Roo and give Paddy a run.

Re: St.Nick!!!!!
Another poster thinks that the club should rest him, permanently.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.
Re: St.Nick!!!!!
Roo will not rest, he does everything in his power to get up
He will not travel to Adelaide in R12... but will play against Carlton
Paddy needs to continue to improve

I'm afraid I have to agree. Good point, well made.

The thing is, roo had the virus last week as well, and kicked 4. But I agree it's probably in his best interests to rest up for a week and get himself rightToy Saint wrote:If Roo had a virus why the bloody hell send him out there? Seems like 'a virus' is the modern day equivalent of 'a touch of the flu'. In other words, the common cold.Toy Saint wrote:If Roo had a virus why the bloody hell send him out there? Paddy kicked 7 last week and is knocking on the door anyway.perfectionist wrote:He and Jake had a virus.

I'm not a doctor, but I'd be surprised if many players miss matches because of a runny nose.
Re: St.Nick!!!!!
I will bet my house
Unless it's an actual injury... He will play
He has about 15-40 career games left ... Do you really think he's going to sit out games, especially those we should win?
He will miss an interstate trip, mid year...
But resting our MVP is not gonna happen... Is that because he had a quiet game
You know he can't dominate every game?!
