Re: Match thread
We have a chance to overrun them in the second half.
They will have two rotations short for more than half of the game.
Just need to tidy up a bit at both ends.

Re: Match thread
Anyway, we were good in that half. I think Cameron and Patten will steamroll us in the end, but the boys are doing us proud.

Re: Match thread
WTF was that free kick against Longer in the ruck?
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

All game I would say. The free against him was rubbish.desertsaint wrote:Longer's been impressive in the ruck that quarter...
As everyone would know, I am a great fan of Nick, but he should stay out of the back 50. He has no idea back there. Mind you, bad short kicks don't help.
here are the rules for kicking out.
1. An easy 40 metre kick to someone unmarked by 40 metres OR
2. Long to the boundary and a contest.

The saints are the real deal , this first half shows we have the skillset of a top side...now if we can just get the umps to ignore the AFL's push to have GWS dominate we are in.

Mummy did a similar thing last week. No case to answer for a Giant. Koby? Saints player. 3 weeks.

Re: Match thread
Even though they are two down, because they are bastard child of the AFL
and are 40% more skilful than everyone else,
and our skills are rubbish,
they are still a lot better than us.
Giants by 5 goals

I agree partially, but the second half will show more of whether we are a top sideThe Fireman wrote:The saints are the real deal , this first half shows we have the skillset of a top side...now if we can just get the umps to ignore the AFL's push to have GWS dominate we are in.

Re: Match thread
we need to get another one of the younger GWS guys without paying too much.. like with Steelejonesy wrote:In the game, but poor in too many areas.
Forwards flying for the same ball, kicking out of defence horrible late. Kicking for goal as usual. We lack class/silk, we are 2 class mids off being a top 4 side, but do we find them ?
This is a very winnable game , we just need some poise, but where will it come from?
Just keep picking them off as they develop

SO TRUE - Watch this space - the commentators had him hung drawn and quartered. Unbelievably negative commentary again from 7 scumbags.White Winmar wrote:Mummy did a similar thing last week. No case to answer for a Giant. Koby? Saints player. 3 weeks.
Not enough ratings with the saints.
