David King, draft genius
Not sure if this has been posted before.
There's audio as well but too difficult on my phone.

Re: David King, draft genius
After what his former club have offered for Kelly, he's suggesting we paid overs for Carlisle? Get serious. I wonder what his view on the O'Meara trade is? And he's assuming Francis is going to be better than Carlisle. Well we'd have to wait 4 or 5 years to find out. What a nonger!

They played that on SEN.
I actually dont mind King. But he embarrassed himself on that one. Badly.

Just another tool ex-afl player in the media. Some of them have no idea.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: David King, draft genius
one memory I have, is the final we played in the wet in 97.
Rod Keogh had the ball, was coming at King, and King actually took a short step to avoid getting hit.
Or is my ancient befuddled brain playing tricks on me again?
I do remember Burkey and our ruckman, Brett Cook, taking McKernan down in a gang tackle
McKernan busted his shoulder. You shouldn't delight in a severe injury, but because it was a final, yes, I did delight, I'm sorry to say

He's a Genies Arse
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: David King, draft genius
If a trade is more than a straight swap of a player for a draft pick, then it is simply too complicated for these "experts" to understand.
We must have just pulled Gresham out of thin air because we gave pick 5 for Carlisle so I am not sure how Gresh got to the club?
Hmmm....It's a mystery!

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

Re: David King, draft genius
We all know he's pretty thick but is it a Saints fan perception that he hates St.Kilda?
If so why would he hate St Kilda more than any other club.

King and SEN are trolling and it suits the neat narrative that we are a basket case that can't win premierships.R. Harvey 3 votes! wrote:If a trade is more than a straight swap of a player for a draft pick, then it is simply too complicated for these "experts" to understand.

With trades or anything else remotely complicated in the media, if it can't be explained in a sentence then they won't do it.

David King "hit". Just another Port Melbourne s*** stain, who loved belting blokes in pubs when he and his thug mates had them outnumbered. Hero. Remember his prediction that we wouldn't win a game in 2015. He does hate the saints. Apparently it's left over bitterness from the 1997 preliminary final. Beat them up during the year and again that night. They thought they were much better than us and felt we robbed them of a flag. That comes from a NM person. As per usual, an ex player d**khead who does no homework and spruiks s*** as it comes into his head. Cue Dermie, BT, Darchole etc.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

He's just dumb... it's not really a vendetta.

David King, an integral part of that marvellous (ahem) " culture " at North Melbourne. Founder member (and current president) of knobheadsRus I still remember that "prediction" from a season or two back.

Re: David King, draft genius
I get just a wee bit sick of these anal orifices like King, Darcy, Brereton, et al none of whom ever had the bottle to dip their toes into senior coaching (I know King was at Richmond for a period of time as an assistant/go-for ) I much prefer to hear from folk like a David Parkin, Terry Wallace Leigh Matthews and others who, although I may not always agree with, have at least had a go at the gig!
