I'm done, turning off this rubbish.
The umpiring is the most disgusting thing I have seen in a long time and I watched the entire West Coast game.
Not interested if this what passes for AFL standards.

Slowly pegging back the Umpire handicap. Go Saints.

Re: Match thread v cats
I understand the frustration...
So far Selwood has got 3 frees for a high tackle... all incidental contact including one by his own team mate
And a clear push in the back by a Geelong forward unpaid = goal
On play, I actually think we've played a lot better

Friggin' Leythal Leigh finally concedes it "probably" should be a free for holding the man to Nick!

Clearly ran inside the mark and played on for the last kick. Doesn't matter.

"If you come off your line it's play on and no score"
Proceeds to take a step to the right.
Umpire moves him back.
How is that not play on? If the umpire has to reset your position after the siren because yoy deliberately walked around.

Have to say that I'm actually proud of that effort...
I would say 3 gifted goals to the Cats and one missed for us... absolutely smashed by the umps
A Herculean effort from us so far today

the lead is clearly down to the umpires in this game.Trev from the Bush wrote:Friggin' Leythal Leigh finally concedes it "probably" should be a free for holding the man to Nick!

8-3 free kick count has given Cats a 2 goal lead.
Not to mention a push in the back by Taylor for a goal and a dodgy advantage paid for another goal
Anyone who says the umpires have no influence... watch that quarter

Re: Match thread v cats
And the crowd goes wild with excitement with the total domination the umps are displaying over their opponents St Kilda.
It's the most assured performance we've seen from umpires for quite some time. They have this game totally under control.
Sheesh!!

Re: Match thread v cats
We sure haven't had the rub if the green.
The only thing we have had so far is the green end of the pineapple.
Hopefully, things will start to go our way and we get rewarded for our effort.

Re: Match thread v cats
From here at the ground it seemed the umpire first reminded Menzel that he must not run around, and then gave him a second chance when he moved off the line. That may be acceptable in under 10s, but is pathetic at the top level. Second worst piece of umpiring today, thus far.
