Ziebell Is a Dirty Dog
Seeing what Ziebell did to poor old Clokey today reminded me of a very similar incident involving Rooey a few years ago when he jumped off the ground and hurled himself at him knocking the absolute bejesus out of him. Well it looks like Cloke has broken ribs and this guy is still up to his old tricks. He's got plenty of priors for doing this sort of thing, they need to throw the book at him this time, dirty mongrel.

Could have put Roo in a wheel chair that night, absolute dog act.
Funnily I thought Cloke hit was ok.
It wasn't overly late, was hip and shoulder and didn't make high contact.

It was way too late and he buried his forearm into Cloke's ribs.
It was a hit designed to hurt not to dispossess or put Cloke off his kick.
He had already disposed of the ball.
It was pure thuggery.

Put on a Saints jumper, do it off-camera with no visual evidence whatsoever, and you'd get nine weeks.
Re: Ziebell Is a Dirty Dog
To go with his hit lastweek that was lucky not to injure. He is pretty reckless and puts others in danger, only a matter of time before he gets it wrong marginally and really hurts someone.

I'm sure we'd all love him if he played for us and praise his hardness.
That hit on Cloke was very hamillesque... it was a bit late, but didn't get him high.

Re: Ziebell Is a Dirty Dog
I know that the suspensions handed down take into account whether the hit was high or not. This incident illustrates that you can cause just as much damage or even more when the hit isn't high. Clokey would prefer to be out for a week with severe concussion than to miss 2-3 weeks with busted ribs.dragit wrote:I'm sure we'd all love him if he played for us and praise his hardness.

Re: Ziebell Is a Dirty Dog
He hasn't even been reported for it, if he's not cited as part of match review, travesty of justice. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets off to be honest, there is so much inconsistency in how they assess this stuff, it's not funny.

He's lining guys up. Someone needs to do it to him to see if he can get up.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Nothing stopping them as long as they go in low and hard.magnifisaint wrote:He's lining guys up. Someone needs to do it to him to see if he can get up.

Still completely within the rules. Gees, it was some heavy work though. Cloke is a huge man.maverick wrote:That hit was far from tough
