Stevens pushing for selection and good to see Marshall hit the scoreboard again. Was that Rice's first game back from broken hand?

State league affiliate: Sandringham (VFL)
This weekend: Williamstown v Sandringham - Sunday, April 9, 1pm, Burbank Oval

Youngster Jack Sinclair featured in the second half after being an emergency for the AFL clash against the Brisbane Lions at Etihad Stadium.

"He got in his car and went to Williamstown, and in that half he performed really solidly," Sandringham coach Lindsay Gilbee told AFL.com.au on Sunday.

Former Western Bulldog Koby Stevens found a fair amount of the ball in the wet conditions, gathering about 30 touches in his side's 11-point loss.

The Zebras' coach was full of praise for defender Bailey Rice, the son of former Saints and Carlton footballer Dean.

"I thought Bailey was an excellent player for us … his ball use was clean and in the conditions, he was excellent," Gilbee said.

Spud Frawley mentioned on SEN match broadcast that Goddard had some minor back soreness and was not playing for Sandy yesterday.
Indicated it might be a couple of weeks before he plays.

Doesn't matter as long as he ran ok

If the Saints games had been played at Antarctic Park the players from Brisbane would have been frozen solid.
We could have run in every scoring shot for a goal.

With our kicking for goal we would have probably missed and they wouldn't have had anyone to kick the ball back in play.

I loved the reports last year, listing every one of the AFL listed blokes who played. I know it's just the preseason...but...hope they do the same this year. Everyone who backs us wants to know how Freeman played- some sort of honesty...and please not some PC rubbish like "he ran to the right places", or "his fitness is building", or even "he tried hard". Please give us something of substance! If he's a way of...tell us! Or else the pessimists will make up their own story!

It must have been at some shindig (where he ate that prawn).... or a "knees up"?

a knees up ...
1.. a lively noisy party or celebration, esp one with dancing.
